To the left, yes, yes it does look clean and nothing to see there. The state itself cannot survive with leftist ideology because the ideology has gone too far to the left. The problem with the left in California is that they don't want anybody to be happy. You have cities like Sa Fransisco which make it impossible for drug addicts to kick their habits because the city gives out needles and encourages drug use or places like Silicon Valley where the economy is built on a house of cards. Then there is Los Angles a city in which I have no idea as to why it even exists and which has no strategic value to anyone. California is a state where the powers that be want you to be poor and do everything that they can to make it happen by chasing out business and making homesteading illegal. California has some major problems and it will take decades of concentrated effort to solve.

Certain parts can probably be fixed, but I believe southern California is done for.

LA county is by far the most lost one. The other southern counties seem to be still savable though. Honestly the Bay area is prob the worse off.
