I don't think the language used in the bible is philosophically rigorous enough for me. I am a chemistry person. My worldview is materialistic. God as a character in a book tells me nothing about what God actually is. And you won't read Parmenides so allow me to clarify that one of his criteria is that it EXISTS, so God or the one is EVERYTHING not nothing.
God is he "in whom we live and move and have our being" (Book of Acts 17.28) So I think monism might have some backup there. Another thought experiment is: how can the triumvirate work without polytheism? or How can God be separate from his son who also states that he is "I AM" without polytheism?

As for compasses and magnetic fields, you need a spheroid magnetic field to mimic what we see in a compass. A magnetic field coming from a cube or cone or other shape is different and interacts differently.

Founding fathers were Christians sprinkled with a few Masons, Illuminists, and revisionists (heretics). This country was not founded by atheists, the most significant inventions where not created by atheists. For the majority of History, western civilization was predominantly white Christians. Only recently has that started to change (since WW2). Yes now we live in a time with a decent amount of high IQ atheists (it's pretty fucking sad).
Finding the Christian truth of the world isn't always the result of a high IQ man using his own logic and reasoning all day in a room by himself. By today's standards, and paradigm, the story of God in the bible is irrational, contradictory, basically for it to be true you have to accept that God is able to do things that extend beyond what we would consider reasonable. God is transcendent. To what level he is transcendent is arguable, but basically he intervened a couple different times throughout history, and the Bible accounts for those instances. Logic and reason alone will not save you.
