This quite a challenge, especially since the governments have a lot of tools at their disposal to destroy any initiative that threatens them. On top of that, the lower 40% of taxpayers (so, the majority of the country, since many people don't pay taxes) get more money in their tax refund than they paid in the previous year. So any new immigrant (unless they're unusually educated, in which case they probably took up a spot in one of our universities that we heavily subsidize) is going to cost us money, both now and when they are old. Some immigrants show up as geriatrics, and having not paid into the system at all, cost us millions of dollars before they die. There's a very good economic argument against immigrants, entirely separate from concerns that national identity/culture will be lost.
