the black family was intact until the gynocentric policies of the late 60's and early 70's was enacted. Black women sold out their communities to side with white feminism. Basically they said they would rather be rulers of a pile of shit, than contributors of a dignified community.
Black men have taken way more than their fair share of criticism because, they are not a PC protected class above criticism, justified or otherwise, like black women are. The fact that people can't criticize black women creates the blindspot from where all the chaos springs.

It worked like this.
Black families would stay together back n the day for better or for worse.
Then then state comes along and says
