This is absolutely false. White identity had just become the default identity, that anyone could join. It turned out minorities did not want to sign on, but rather to force the white majority to accept their ways as normal. That overthrow of the culture was unacceptable, and gave rise to today's white identity consciousness. None of this would have happened had racial minorities chosen to integrate with, rather than war on, the existing culture.

Different genetic groups have different preferences because they have different gene frequencies concerning the formation and activity of the brain, so it is not unreasonable for me to want to be surrounded by people who will be constitutively similar to me in behaviour and ideals. I would also like to send my genome into the world as much as possible (everyone does), which means recombining it with the other 50% being similar to my genes in terms of effect and state of the alleles.
These statements obviously dont apply to every individual per axis of measurement, but they definitely apply as a group and as a multifaceted analysis per individual, which is what will matter when considering a society.
