I have casually mentioned some of the current topics and buzzwords around people for the last 8 years. I have not had a single bite. I will say dumb shit and look for a reaction with a followup that seems unrelated. This weekend we did an xbox lan party (og xbox). I was sure one of the guys there who I have known for 30 years posts here. I asked for a quick rundown on something he was explaining, and there was no recognition. None from anyone in the room. I don't dare go further then that. There are certain things that only Jow Forums says.

I don't know how I would feel about knowing an IRL poster from here. My wife is hip to it, and laughs at spicy memes, but she knows the dangers, and stays out.

went there the other day, it appears to be mostly amateur nudes threads, with pajeets farming photos to use for ad revenue on their shit sites, and actual product adverts. sad state of affairs

I have explained to my wife that there is lots of bullshit. There is lots of circumstantial evidence that shows that there are organized "shills". Some of it is file names, other times is when certain "robo" responses become memes.
This place is so retarded, that it overpowers any logical attempt to override/redirect discussion.
I was active one night when one of the groups organized to push /ptg/ to page 11. It took about 40 minutes of bumping other threads, but they won. They did not figure out that someone would just randomly make a new /ptg/. They left before they did much else.
I have also seen threads auto-filled with spam. usually the same old bullshit over and over.
Mods seem somewhat decent as of late, and the shills/spam has seem to have died down. There is still plenty of garden variety low-iq discussions. Look at the Op in any thread. "1 post by this ID" is generally a good sign that its bullshit, especially when a few good counterpoints are presented.

At this point, Id not be shocked if our "enemies" had bots designed to slowly influence by quietly promoting certain threads by filling with vague responses in attempts to push things they don't want discussed out. There have been some odd coincidences before, including full board shutdowns...quite a few in the last 2 years and it is unusual...no comment from gook moot. Hell, I think we hear from moot more then gookmoot. We just don't know it.

This is a major factor. Half of the people here, that are actual humans, don't even speak english. They dont know the difference between your and you're, their/they're. They seem to have a 2nd grade education and get mad when confronted with things they don't understand.
