I don't know enough about the higher workings of the company to tell if it had anything to do with Trump, but I work in manufacturing and I just got a $2/hr raise because they can't find enough employees to fill our positions so they increased pay across the company to attract new hires. Is recovery code for redistribution? I remember in 2008 my father lost 60k out of his pension. In 2010 my parents lost their home. I graduated college in 2009 and after working 5 years doing fuck all at jobs with no possibility of advancement, I had to flee my home state of Ohio to Austin, Texas in order to be paid a livable wage. This was done unhappily and not with a lot of gusto or joy. I understand that Obama is not entirely to blame for the economic crisis, but he sure as shit cannot be thanked for anything done under Trump and there was no recovery under Obama. Recovery is not 'you can get a good job in LA, NYC, Austin, and Portland.' Economic recovery is 1940s-1960s top down, bottom up middle class is surging, livable wages as far as the eye can see, 'real' employment numbers being posted--not the invented kind of people just dropping out or working part-time temp jobs. Home ownership in a place one would want to live is a symptom of economic recovery.
