>wrestling

Yup, not a single Western martial art

That must be why basically every MMA champion is trained in Brazilian Jujitsu.

both probably came from asian martial arts desu

Well, just who invented the famed katana? Do you dare to answer?

This. I will knock out any asian manlet trying to look cool with his tiger slapping fight style. The irony is most asian dudes can't fight for shit

because despite their (likely accidental) discovery of gun powder, they never figured out weaponry more advanced than spears and bows.

why is OP such a retarded nigger faggot

>36 KB JPG
>Why do asians have a complete monopoly on martial arts?
Because they invented them and have spent thousands of years perfecting the art form?

Horrible thread op and should be in /spee/ not Jow Forums

Europeans have their own martial arts.
There are manuals that are over 800 years old
dedicated to them. Do some research if you are interested.
Oh but you aren't cause your an R9k robot faggot

HEMA
Boxing
Greco Roman wrestling

Don't know about boxing but I know for a fact wrestling doesn't
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wrestling

Kick boxing.

Nope.

This. There were western martial arts in medieval times, that were largely lost. There was a lot of grappling and sword play. It become less important because of the invention of the cross bow and other hyper efficient killing tools.

Boxing came from Tae Kwon Do (Korean)

GOOGLE SYSTEMA
then know it's based on baguazhang.
because their warlike culture is oldest, is the answer.

The East can't invent, at best it just apes the West.

We have Roman boxing gloves.

A monopoly? If you watch MMA it's all whites, niggers, mulattos, and mestizos

It depends what kind of wrestling to be fair.

Chinese have their own type of wrestling called shuai jiao. The steppe nomads had their own kind of wrestling that developed into bok which is what Mongolians use. Both developed a long time ago.

To say wrestling is a "western" thing exclusively would be incorrect.

>at best it just apes the West.

???

that's not what he meant retard. he's saying they invented all the martial arts

Literally neither of those are useful in a fight. Shut your monkey ass up.

>Boxing came from Tae Kwon Do

You are jokung right? Taekwondo is almost 100% kicks.

Coz it's a sham to
fool fools.

youtube.com/watch?v=LZ6j0i0LxNo

anything that improves your physical strength, reflexes, and stamina will be useful in a fight. even more so if you learn how to strike and defend.

Quick look at wiki says you're wrong. Earliest evidence of boxing is from Middle East.
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boxing

Boxing is the most useful martial art for the average street fight.
All armies around the world base their martial arts on modern western militaries.
Looks to me like the west is the king.

It's common knowledge on Jow Forums that Chinese developed the first guns when they used it to ward off the jurchens and Mongols.

In fact the reason the west even had guns and developed them was coz the Mongols brought them to the Arabs who brought them to the west most likely.

muh guns

The point is that European wrestling came about independently without East Asian influence

>punching
>the simplest, easiest, most natural form of attack
>one particular culture invented it
Who gets credit for walking?

yeah most western martial arts is wrestling based because you have to get your dagger into an armored opponents weak points and unarmored opponents will crumple against a strike form an armored fist

Yes we did. We even had those crazy looking but really effective techniques too. youtu.be/vwuQPfvSSlo

a firework tied to a spear is not a gun

obese fucktard who's never gotten in a fight in his life. why do you think UFC fighters mostly practice those two martial arts?

Lmao you’re a dumb weeb faggot
Boxing and wrestling are as elementary as human existence itself.
We were boxing and wrestling long before there was even such thing as an Asian

Because you are too ignorant to do any cursory research into any European history whatsoever.

Whites have:
Various forms of boxing
Various forms of wrestling
Fencing
Military history going back millenia with organized armies and martial arts involving every weapon you can think of
Etc.

it’s an insect thing

Then why did mongols heavily practice wrestling.

>before there was even such thing as an Asian

why couldn't i have been born into such a wonderful age?

>UFC
>real fight

martial arts cant beat a gun

Like cannons and rockets?

Because their governments repealed the 2nd amendment

>tfw Asians think western wrestling and boxing is as mystical as we think muy thai and jiu jitsu are.
Really though, wrestling and boxing is so normal for us that we dont understand the "culture" of it. For example, Asians like using forks and eating salad to have their "cultural" experience like we westerners like eating ramen with chopsticks. Culture is only obvious when you dont live in it.

all that girly flailing shit only works in the movies. wrestling and boxing are still the best martial arts.

i was thinking more like muskets and repeating arms.

a basic cannon is the obvious next step once you have a propellant and material strong enough to withstand the pressure

>If only we were all still cavemen

Various forms of boxing, wrestling, and fencing they just didn't receive fancy names or schools and more or less osmosed ideas between countries.

wouldn't bother me so much.

Lack of usable weapon inventions. It's a part of the brain thing that lets you do stuff like invent useful weaponry.

Boxing originated in ancient Mesopotamia tho

Asian martial arts are 90% bullshit that might look cool in movies but will get you knocked the fuck out by any boxer

Asia martial arts are poor farmer plebeian tier.

Attached: Talhoffer.jpg (834x547, 96K)

Yes, but I'm pretty sure that hundreds of thousands of years ago, a monkey hit another monkey, thus inventing boxing.

Put 100 cockroaches in a tiny cardboard box, and see what happens. They will quickly become skilled in close body combat. Multiply that times a billion and there's your answer.

Asian martial arts are for skinny yellow manlets

Attached: TalhofferFechtbuch2.jpg (834x545, 96K)

reminder that traditional longsword 'schools' were the chris costa psudo-operator bullshit of their time.

wrestling, sambo, bjj

>Why do asians have a complete monopoly on martial arts?

Because nobody else wants shares of complete bullshit? The following "martial arts" are absolute garbage that NEVER succeed unless they're heavily mixed with core MMA disciplines:

GARBAGE.
1) Karate (and all Japanese systems)
2) Kung Fu (and all Chinese systems)
3) Taekwondo (and all Korean systems)

TOP TIER (and best when combined):
1) Wrestling
2) Brazilian Juijitsu
3) Muay Thai.

me on the right

this. and even extinct hominids likely developed some hand-to-hand fighting techniques. martial arts likely predate homo-sapiens.

me on the left

UFC is babyfighting for beta males and you jerk your short little dick to it imagining you were being held down and dominated by a greased up irishman.

How many actual fights have you seen that end in a heel hook, dumbass?

I mean, this is wrong. Many martial arts, as practiced today, have been adapted for either sport or performance purposes, so of course they're not going to be practical in a real fight. However, these were not the intended purpose of the styles when they were invented and what you're seeing when wushu practitioners "dance" was originally just a training exercise to gain control over your body and build muscle memory for certain motions and stances. The intent wasn't that you were gonna look or act exactly that way in a real fight.

Asian Martial Arts BTFO

Weak men think it makes them formidable.

>strike the unarmored neck of the enemy with your longsword in a diagonal cleave
Truly, the apex of swordsmanship

They dont.

there is nobody ranked in Boxing or MMA/UFC/etc that is chink, jap, gook, zipper, thai, korean, vietnamese. None.

basically for those who are properly trained at any bodyweight except perhaps the very lightest / womanly weights a boxer or MMA/UFC fighter would rip their fucking arms off.

the asians cant place in world class physical combat - maybe sumos could do it a little bit with their tremendous weight but other than that - they will be utterly destroyed.

the white/russian/american/brazillians overtook the asians and their fake ass martial arts they have been curating for thousands of years in like 40 years. sure the MMA/UFC stuff can borrow from the martial arts but its heavily modified (eg, BJJ is not juijitsu)

Not true. I did HEMA/WMA and Pankration for years.

Western martial arts almost disappeared after guns became a thing, you know because they were useless. You can still check old western martial arts manuals if you want, like spanish "verdadera destreza" or roman pugilism

boxing
savate
wrestling
sambo
HEMA
capoeira
fencing

>Because they invented them and have spent thousands of years perfecting the art form?
yeah, and since MMA/UFC/etc came on the scene those thousands of years were obsolete as shit. we have new fighting systems that borrowed some stuff from them but are much better. thousands of years of dancing and prancing can never beat a modern fighting system.

Well, that's the final move in a series of steps not shown in that picture. It involves longsword strategies against pole weapons.

Many eastern martial art schools originated shortly after Alexander the Great brought Pankration to the east.

Almost all european martial arts are based around sword, polearms, dagger etc

Attached: Fiore.jpg (250x210, 54K)

Based.

FPBP

Asians are the absolute worst in actual martial arts. There's a dude in China right now who's an mixed martial artist and he's been whooping every single "master" out there in matches and has been pissing off the traditional community because of it.

The Chinese never really advanced beyond the Handgonne stage of firearms. They had to adopt matchlocks from the Turks and Portuguese. That being said, they had rocket saturation artillery for hundreds of years before the West adopted it.

Boxing was done in the old days or Greece.

>The Chinese never really advanced beyond the Handgonne stage of firearms.

i assume that most of the peasantry did not have access to weapons like these and that gunsmithing was a rare specialty

And the Vikings had a style of wrestling called Glima. It's still practiced in Scandinavia today.

Boxing came from Pankration
>tae Kwon Do (Korean)
IS based off karate since the Japs didn't let the Koreans practice their native arts during occupation.

interesting point

and this reflects strongly in anime and other eastern media. their attitude toward guns is anything but favorable. not that you can blame them, but i don't really want them taking that attitude here.

No it did not
Stop using quack "historians" who use laughable connections to pretend everything goes back to the middle east
No different than all those linguists who pretend Hebrew is the origin of the majority of names to push their own shit opinion instead of telling the truth

and it's another thing about american culture that's virtually incomprehensible to easterners.
