I didn't believe in this but after hearing about Elon Musk's Neuralink I'm convinced this is the mark of the beast. Sadly this is unstoppable. This madman is the antichrist.

The whole saving the kids from pedo cave in Thailand schtick convinces me this is possible. He appeals to both left and right.
Womp womp
>Neuralink
given how the computers in a Tesla function i don't want to touch it.
>He appeals to both left and right.
at the same time the left and right can find plenty of stuff to justifiably despise him for.
Oh shut the fuck up. Its not going to be some unremovable implant because nobody is going to go through with that shit. It will likely be a hat with electrodes, coupled with something like google glass and maybe a power glove. All he said was that it was to solve the bandwidth problem of keyboards. Nobody is going to do elective brain surgery you fucking moron. Its still a company that needs to turn a profit at some point.
This
I doubt it will be that. Their goal for the first 5 years is to target brain disorder/diseases. Then, if it actually proves to be useful and not dangerous, the next step would be to turn it into an input device. So I think it will be some sort of prosthetic device for blind/death people.
"its an interface problem"
Yes, keyboards are that interface. Anything that isnt a keyboard is within the realm of possibility. Reading brainwaves is in the realm of possibility. Cutting open someones skull and jamming a microchip in there is NEVER going to happen, because nobody would do it. Even if you could convince a handful of people to try it, companies cannot be built on a handful of purchases.
They already have that. Coclear implants have been a thing for more than a decade now. Vision implants are less common but have been around longer than Musk has been in the spotlight. My point is, nobody is ever going to do elective irreversible brain surgery. Repairing brain problems is one thing, tinkering with a very delecate system that works perfectly fine is another.
hey hey, speak for yourself. Id do it.
>nobody is ever going to do elective irreversible brain surgery
This is where I disagree. My argument is that throughout history people have taken all sorts of drugs to enhance/boost their performance. Even today people take brain performance drugs. So I think that there are thousands of people ready to take a huge risk for even a small chance of improvement.
>Nobody is going to do elective brain surgery you fucking moron.
Why are you trying to sound smart while saying objectively stupid shit? You'd get willing participants given the right incentives and probably you'd get people with nothing to lose willing to do it.
its all incremental. its always a baby towards something else
Gay acceptance will never lead to trannies and front holes, dude!
>Its not going to be some unremovable implant because nobody is going to go through with that shit.
People are already cutting up their penis to make a wound vagina, getting bogdanof faces, and operatinig metal crap into their bodys that does nothing...
But you are telling me nobody would do this?
>Musk
>Unstoppable
topkek
>The whole saving the kids from pedo cave in Thailand schtick convinces me this is possible. He appeals to both left and right.
What? He's been receiving universally negative press coverage from that event forward from what I've seen. That's probably why he isn't the antichrist by the way, antichrist is supposed to be someone everyone praises, not someone everyone shits on.
>flag checks out
niggers don't understand technology
And then somone invents an fMRI hat and all those people look like retards. Some of them would likely try to sue for unnecessary mutilation of their brain, which means Neuralink would make them sign a waver.
“Neuralink assumes no responsibilities for depression, brain damage, or any other issues arising from the brain implant”
>sign here
Don't care about Neuralink. You have enough to do with being White.
Also, the difference here is that this would be an electronic piece of manmade technology that you cannot remove and requires a great amount of pain and risk to install. Drugs wear off. Like i said, maybe a handful of people would do it, but its not an effective business strategy to target a niche of a niche market. Especially not when there are ways to detect brain activity from outside the skull.
Its going to be an electrode cap with a few other things slapped onto it. I would bet my life savings on it.
It's deaf not death. Not being an asshole just letting you know.
Musk tried to warn us about the AI threat. He is trying to warn us about the (((antichrist)))
When are we going to get a Ready Player One type VR experience. That's what I need.
God's not real dummy.
>Cutting open someones skull and jamming a microchip in there is NEVER going to happen, because nobody would do it.
Never underestimate the stupidity of trendies.
