There is nothing inconsistent about this. The complexity of the world makes holding contradictory views a near certainty. Especially when it takes years to sort your thoughts out. Combine that with an increasingly reactionary mindset, and it is only a matter of time before you notice yourself being a hypocrite. The world is to complicated for black or white thinking. Trying to organize thoughts with many shades of gray, in regard to modern society, is a near impossible task for a single person. It sucks that the media and educational systems, that would typically lead to greater understanding, are completely up their own asses 90% of the time.
