That (the town of 4,000) would just sustain a population, provided it isn't attacked. But that's not a strong position. We'd have too many factors working against us. And one town = one basket for all eggs.
We need several hubs and a network to coordinate and move between those hubs. We need strength and several backups. Good allies (in earlier threads we talked about "natural allies" with the drunk geneticist). And so on. No simple, easy solution.
It's a long shot but still better than trying to start over in some Völkish community and hoping it blows over. You should still get in contact with your neighbours of course, build social capital and stuff, maybe move to a rural area. But if the current establishment stands we'll get wiped out anyway.
