How is tech not the most based industry to work in?
> big salaries > smartest people > cutting edge, innovative > high demand > ability to work remotely > don’t have to deal with clients/customers/patients > little regulation
Seriously, tech is the most based industry to work in. Why so many of you go yapping about trades, finance, etc. is beyond me and fucking retarded. Have fun being automated out of your jobs, plebs.
The salaries are great, work life balance is average maybe better. Maybe if you’re some shit tier help desk it sucks, but everything else is fucking gravy.

>Indians >aspies >14-hour days >service overtime >Indians >mysterious "bathroom violations" >nobody wants to be friends >everybody has aspergers >endless meetings >Indians

>HURR DURR MUH COMPUTER SCIENCE >HURR DURR MAKE BANK
Sure tech is cool but now that stem is being implemented into public schools have fun witn immense competion not to mention the H1B1 fags so Yea no.
California is going to be such a shithole in the next decade.
David Sanchez
they hire mostly liberals which is a good thing because they bring new ideas to the table, unlike conservicucks who stick to shitty objectively inefficient assembly or some shit
Adrian Davis
This, Tech is basically now just digital tradespeople.
Nothing wrong with that, but people act like it's god. They think they can just whip up the next twitter in a week....
Ya it's a bit more involved then that....
Capital still the key.
Aaron Phillips
3 types of people >Indians who don't speak English and don't want you there so they can bring in their cousins, uncles, nieces, and nephews >Feminists who hate white males >Angry bitter incels who lack any social skills whatsoever and generally act like they're better than everyone else around them
it's mostly Indians though
Colton Hill
The worst thing about working in big tech is the fucking faggot Boomers who somehow occupy space in this industry. I would rather work in a small room filled with a dozen stinky Pajeets for 12 hours, than have to deal with a single stubborn, full-of-shit, inept Boomer supervisor or “analyst.”
Christian Morales
This.... you also forgot the silent asian guy who's pretty good, but never sticks out.
Colton Bennett
It might be if you don't have an HR department.
Ryder Johnson
You think it's bad in big tech companies..... try being in a company that's not a "tech" company but wants/tries to be.
Customer experience has no idea how to design/build digital products, but tries to lead anyways... IT always fighting as they want to lead because they had doing actual hard work/change.
Boomers around every turn who don't want to look bad by younger employees...
Kill me.
My zest for making stuff is dead.
Oliver Cruz
they hate**
Luke Nguyen
I’m an idiot and phrased that like a fag. I work in a large corporation with a “big tech” apparatus that’s not the focus.
It’s probably much like yours... The only people who are remotely motivated and productive are all under 35, and turnover amongst us is high. It’s probably much better in strictly technology companies.
Noah Bell
Learn a trade fags and kill the stupid STEM meme.

Dude is probably some marine stationed there. Has no idea.
Connor Gray
I don't get it, isn't the angry incel meme just roasties projecting? Or am I missing something?
Jeremiah Watson
The fact that tech requires zero physical strength is it's biggest weakness. Women and betas can just waltz in and take over, just like they're doing at this very moment.
David Young
stfu about assembly, unless you want a non-functioning bios on all your machines.
Owen Campbell
How can anyone be angry when your salary is like 4x the national average for a family of four? It’s a meme.
Michael Howard
Thinking of switching from IT to law so I’d pursue a Juris Doctor instead of master’s in IT because I have no interest in IT at all. Is it a good idea?
Parker Morales
Work in steel mill. No women. Say whatever I want. Get paid great. Awesome benifits. Work 4, 12 hour shifts. Friday, sat, sun off. Basically getting paid to work out. Be strong. Wear Chad boots and everyone sees me as a strong man. Can provide for my family and afford most things I want. Much better then a safe spaces cubical job. Worrying about trying to speak to people in PC language. Ect. Better then being seen as a beta male pussy. Better to sweat and be strong then oily and pimply from never moving at a computer all day.
Lincoln Morris
The liberals all work on boring userspace garbage. All the interesting people write system level C.
Alexander Perry
Work on computers. Literally have nothing to show for your lifetime of work.
> big salaries completely eaten up by the cost of living
> smartest people no those are in research
> cutting edge, innovative absolutely not
> high demand true but highly competitive by now
> ability to work remotely not most people
> don’t have to deal with clients/customers/patients you have to deal with users
> little regulation not unless you are a giant corporation
Jordan Baker
The best jobs I’ve had were the most physical, where I could go around bullshitting and no one gave a fuck because I excelled at what I did.
Sitting at a desk exchanging emails all day fucking blows, despite the pay.
Jaxon Lopez
user the future is gonna be literal DBZ saiyans origins story
>brainlet low iq beasts living innawoods that love fighting and lifting and shit >super high iq dyel betas living in hong kong/tokyo type megacity sci fi cities
fuck it might as well live innawoods near decaying rust belt shithole city and die knowing kids will be goku tier genetics whereas other route would be beta dyel offspring that get rekt by innawood beasts
>all those tech nerds that have to pay out the ass for a plumber or electrician to do simple shit
Sebastian Baker
I was going to come in here to say something along these lines, but I am an electrical engineer in a steel mill so my job isnt as physical. Still no PC culture to be spoken of and I can cuss, spit, etc on the job and nobody even blinks
Gabriel Hughes
>the robot can code No it cannot. But that doesnt change the ongoing increase in coders, lower salaries, H1b cancer (and migration in general) and exploitation.
Jose Jones
CONSERVATISM IS THE NEW PUNK ROCK! WE ARE THE COUNTER CULTURE!!!
Well certain coding can be automated in a way, and it's been going like this for decades. But that's because programs and hardware are generally more complex and less manageable than they used to be.
Japan is really a Navy place, but you hear more about the Marines because they fuck shit up alot here
Aiden Sullivan
It's ok. Cnc machines took my Dads Job. He actually had skill. Cbc operators are the pussies of our second shop. Lazy, always bitching. Always visibly upset.
Literal pussies. But, I cannot deny that those machines are great.
Austin Wilson
you should be happy they're contributing to the economy and not letting their property go to shit like wellfare peeps
Dylan Gomez
I do enjoy it. I also enjoy the over time pay

Don't get me wrong, I do regret when old craftsmanship goes away. But it happens in all industries, including computers. and, yeah. They are very accurate machines.
Ethan Bennett
Do not worry user. He works in Carbon Fiber industry now. He is balling, and they liked that he had that experience comming in. He does something with testing for aerospace panels, jets, and other applications. Actually interesting.
Zachary Kelly
Real estate investing is. You can be a straight savage by salting the earth around people so they have no choices, belittle wamyn in negotiations, good money and work when you want
Tech's gonna be the next thing automated out, right after brainless tier shit like warehouse work and the ongoing elimination of factory work.
After they make robots that can do simple things that require little to no analytical ability, the next target is going to be the paper pushing desk jockeys who have no decision making power or administrative role. That's the accountants, tech, data entry, engineers, etc.
That work is all software, which is way more simple to create than designing and testing robot prototypes. Yes, the work is more difficult, but tackling it is cheaper and faster and will be a higher priority commercially. Not to mention that the massive, unfulfilled demand for that work is more than enough to motivate the funding for creating a cheap and plentiful source of labor.
That's not to say that there will be no engineers, only that most of them will have been replaced by a server rack, with maybe one or two percent remaining employed to wrangle the software and deal with niche cases that the software can't work with.
The last people to be automated out will be the decision makers. The CEO types, politicians, etc.
Trades and any other job that demands skilled, intelligent labor will be the second last, since it combines the most difficult aspects of both physical and mental work, as well as humans having a innate edge there due to our super sophisticated perception and terrain/object modelling abilities setting that particular bar pretty high.
Start running for office or learn to use some tools, user. Those are your best bets if you want to stay prosperous right up until the concept of full employment is phased out of our culture.
Yes. Working for a tech company and a company that whose business is not selling tech is night and day. In the non tech company, tech is seen a just a cost center and is treated as such.
Colton Hill
No you guys are all autistic. It's painful socializing with you at company events. You are easily replaced

Software developers aren’t going anywhere for a while. The job of a developer is to translate business needs to functional software. That is well beyond the abilities of any automated system for the near future. And it has been tried with things like reusable business objects and failed miserably.
