I love this meme because of how hard it's triggering the NPCs. NPC theory has been around for a while but I think it suddenly took off because this board has become flooded with NPCs since the election and calling them NPCs is much closer to the truth than calling them "shills." In my opinion it's the player-characters who are running with this meme now because it helps us identify friend from foe and effectively combat the NPC hordes.

Your last sentence was interesting. I have noticed throughout my travels that NPCs tend to be non confrontational or overly emotional. For instance if you get into a argument with a NPC, they either back down, repeat the same phrases over and over or get extremely emotional. While PCs tend to have witty remarks, good rebuttals and confidence.

If this were a simulation, what is more likely? It'd either be for entertainment or to study something very important.
