People from the caribbean had it pretty rough. White tourists come and treat them like shit, and when they come here, they are preyed upon often by other immigrants that pretend to be white on the phone, like IRS scams or ICE scams where they call them and demand money or face arrest and deportation... or other white immigrants that come here and do similar scams or shakedowns of them.
I know a nice haitian guy who is legal, but has family members that aren't and they've been hit with just about every scam known to man in the last 15 years. Also, a lot of Americans will use their services for cheap labor/service/repair, and while they are wiling to fix things for cheap, sometimes it takes a couple tries for them to figure it out, which isn't uncommon in the repair industry... and people get irate thinking that THEY are the ones trying to scam them, when really they are just uneducated immigrants trying to get by with what they know.
