Mimicking a God who drives out serpents from a temple is a lot harder than pretending submission is virtuous. We need to frame real virtue in such a way they get a dopamine rush every time they do it, like a leftist does when he calls someone a racist. Anyhow, my main point of writing that out is to say this. Don't worry about 'selling' Christianity outside of what it says in the Bible. Things like this: Titus Chapter 2 You, however, must teach what is appropriate to sound doctrine. 2 Teach the older men to be temperate, worthy of respect, self-controlled, and sound in faith, in love and in endurance.
3 Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. 4 Then they can urge the younger women to love their husbands and children, 5 to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God.
6 Similarly, encourage the young men to be self-controlled. 7 In everything set them an example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness 8 and soundness of speech that cannot be condemned, so that those who oppose you may be ashamed because they have nothing bad to say about us.
Focus on that. Not dopamine or memetics or how to make Christianity fit into a certain world view. The Word of God and the Holy Spirit will do the heavy lifting. Most importantly remember this: Christ knows your misery. It was part of why he came to us as a man - to know our temptations and our suffering. You aren't alone in your alienation. Psalms 22 - I strongly believe this to be a prophetic psalm:

David is foretelling the misery of Christ during his sacrifice. No matter how alone you feel in California, I promise you he understands. Take heart in that if nothing else. Spend time in his Word daily and seek after him genuinely. You are where you should be right now - think about why.
Some of our greatest church fathers hated our religion too, so careful.
My only advice for you man to man is this: seek after the truth with all your heart. I'm not speaking of Christ or Christianity, just the truth. Don't let yourself get caught up in things that you know are false pleasures and have failed to offer you meaningful satisfaction in the past. If you try something and it doesn't bring wholeness to your life, drop it and move on. And never go back to it.

I feel like I've seen you before in a thread last night. You have no reason to not be proud of your country and race, so long as you don't overgeneralize your feelings to those individuals who you do not know.
Read the Gospels. Jesus first preached to the Jews, but they failed to listen. He and the early Church fathers didn't go, "well fuck those backwards Gentiles," instead they preached the Word to them.

Honestly, social anxiety has kept me from attending a church.
I want to attend services. I want to worship with others. But as much as I know how welcoming most churches are, the thought of just showing up to a gathering full of strangers stresses me the hell out. I've just been worshiping on my own, in the comfort of my own home.
I'm in a pretty good place in my life right now, so I'm sure I'll start going soon. But until then, reading a couple of chapters of the New Testament and praying will have to suffice.

We have many reasons to be proud of our race and nation just as we have reasons to be proud of our fathers and grandfathers.
We are not trying to take credit for actions we did not commit, but are proud that our people committed them. We think of them with respect and keep them close to our hearts. We may never be in the army of Martel, bearing the brunt of a heavy cavalry charge time and time again while on foot, standing against the might of an invading power and holding the fate of your people at bay with your shield. But we can look back on our fathers who did that with love and admiration. And in whatever small ways we can recreate their actions in our own lives, we will.
