What if part of the reason we haven't accomplished anything in a while is because of the extent to which the conversation is ebign controlled by bots?
Jaxson Reyes
We know that people have studied this place and have realized the massive impact that we have on culture - it would be absurd to think they haven't targeted us given the massive censorship of the web we've seen

Jordan Peterson and Alex Jones got on the bad side of Hillary Clinton so now they're being spammed. Check out this iceberg up close by the way. Israel and Donald Trump might do something about it.
The bot posted pictures of the movie covers along with the date of release, at least much of the time. Maybe that was in the pic's info though. Was going fast enough that after the initial captcha it could keep going. Never timed it, but it seems the captcha is good for about a minute. Also, Jow Forums didn't seem to flag it or give it the timer between posts. Maybe the changing of locations thwarted it.
>the conversation is ebign controlled by bots? See it all the time where there is a thread with many posts but OP only has this first post. The few times I've started a thread I'm an active poster in it. Always thought it was odd. And many times OP will have a meme flag, but not always.

/gif/ user here. Lately our board is getting spammed by shitty indian ads threads, In the hours where the mods are inactive we can have at least 11 threads obstructing the board. What im trying to say is that bots can get trough the captcha easly, they just need a good a.i to make them shitpost.
1 - it was merely a test of a spam bot 2 - By posting such obscure shitty movies you'd be able to identify the IPS of those in the thread - such movies would hardly get any hits and if you got hits across multiple shitty obscure movies from the same IP then you could pin someone in the thread 3 - It was to chum the waters to get actual anons involved in the thread to either collect data or slide the forum

Ads suck, but there's nothing particularly nefarious about them beyond consumerist drone culture - but this bot brings to mind other things I've seen and I wonder if bots are being used to direct the dicsussion

>Alex Jones Lemme guess you are a Q loving geriatric boomer?
I feel like this serious business attitude is what restricts the creativity. We found Atlantis and the mods delete all the threads because it's not serious business politics according to them. Since old /b/ the best threads were the always the ones where everyone allowed for a premise and explored it. Basically larping is the fuel. The correct response to Q is to play off it, not shoot it down. If nu-pol had the old spark you would have used it to influence boomers better instead of constantly arguing about an obvious larp.

If I'm right about this they will crash the site soon and we won't be able to post anything. Jow Forums will be unusable.
No man, those ads are bots at 100%, they have predetermined images and constant bumps to keep them on page one, and when you see the comments they're all different but also same, the glow in the dark need only to have a bot that react in certain pattern everytime a certain slide thread pops up and they can keep it bumped for hours. All they need is an a.i. good enough to pass as a shitposter and they're good, and it's not like archieving such an a.i. is something so out of reach in 2018. There might be a connection between the bots on gif and the one here on Jow Forums.
Logan Rogers
I don't disagree with that, I wish that moderator actions were displayed on a public review board attached to an anonymized ID that site administrators could track to a particular mod - that way we could verify that nothing nefarious was going on
As for the spark, some of it I think is the influx of new blood, but part of it I think might be something more nefarious and in line with what we're talking about here
If Trump goes in to Syria, he'll lose the midterms and probably the presidency - I hope he isn't compromised
Grayson White
I've seen the ones on gif for those spammy dating sites
I wonder how we could combat that? Soem sort of algo our own that could detect patterns in speech across multiple posters to flag certain things for mods to look at

Thanks

At this point I really don't see him being comp'd, unless it's some 4D chess crazy ploy, but doubtful.
InfoWars is being purged from the internet because it was gaining too much influence. As they've said from the beginning... there's a war on for your mind. Testosterone has been falling by 1% each year for several years and the average age people start watching porn is around 11, Nasim Aghdam was right too, about the elites manipulating us and destroying family values, YT "took care of" her, they also got rid of Bombard's Body Language because she was talking about elite child abuse and pizzagate.
I've seen ptg sperg out like this and literally max out a threat in less than a minute. Most of the posts are also nonsense, pop memes and random news shit disconnected from the other posts.
Jow Forums has been really strange the past...3 months. After the whole Q thing, it's gotten really strange. I've seen good threads archived within minutes, but muh NPC meme threads pop up every hour. Also...what the fuck has been up with the "debate shill" tactics? They'll show up in certain topics and starting "flat earth" or "communism vs ancap" debates. The arguments are always the same and the exact same posts over and over again.
Well the bluepilled normie NPCs are idiots who buy the MSM about the Humble Water Filter Salesman being a "right-wing conspiracy theorist" who "victimized the Sandy Hook families" (almost six years ago?!) and it's not all strange that he's being inexplicably removed all at once, now on to... football! Beer! Weed!
After the election it's beeb a downhill, we lack the manppwer because plenty of people left and we have no enemy to fight. As we are right now, everyone, even our opposition is waiting for something to start the fire, and basically we just stay here shipostibg and mocking trannies and cucks between one school shooting and the other. Just wait for the next happening and we're going to be back strong as ever.
Daniel Taylor
That is a very very useful term - I'll use that in the future
I think a counter to the bots is quite simple then - in any thread that you suspect bots of trying to spam simply start image posting - it will demonstrate to all the actual people what's going on
Here's a typical one, except OP doesn't use a meme flag. One post by OP despite 119 replies as of this post. Divisive topic.

Movie thread gives me the creeps. Check the timestamps on all those similar posts.
Noah Cook
Jesus Christ that is startling.

I have a feeling all those generals (apart from sky king and the real robert hours threads) are seeded by outside factions, and predominantly populated by bots. In almost every single thread theres also posts that try to reply to something but have a suspicious loss of context. Ive also seen them break down when trying to deal with more abstract concepts and sperg the fuck out with total nonsense. Trump related threads, and the threads that are obviously on rotation always seem to be heavily populated by them.
I WISH i could join in this great debate about drumph, but phone fagging sucks. These faggots who voted for blumph woild die. they are like BOTs. they should just Go Away.
Need proof that they interact with humans, trip yourself up for the moment and see if they engage with you before considering this action. They might construct discussions with theor own "safe" messages.
