Hurricane Florence is expected to strike North Carolina at at least Category 3 intensity based on current models and predictions from the NHC and others. Possibility of landfall at Cat 4 exists as well. Will know for sure in the next few days. It is currently at Category 1 intensity but rapid intensification is expected in the next 24-36 hours.

>ohio aw yea, stuck in this shit state missing comfy hurricanes and missing the hurricaneb owl in Raleigh this Saturday. At least I can get some nice rain
Give it a day, yankee nigger. Once the happening becomes inevitable, you’ll get your memes.
Thomas Martin
Florida user here. Good luck, friends! Make sure to stock up on plenty of buckshot (I alternate between #00 and #4 in my shotgun, but you can also alternate between #00 and slugs for MAXIMUM CARNAGE).
If you have a generator, but gasoline now -- right now. Literally go to the closest gas station and fill up your portable containers (I have eight five-gallon containers, which will run my generator for about a week or so). Fill your bathtubs with water to flush your toilets. Go to Costco & stock up on granola bars & water. If your local store is out of water, buy some freezer bags, fill them with water, and store them in your freezer.
Finally, make sure you have plenty of beer. Then, sit back, relax, and enjoy the show!
High cat 3 (125 mph), landfall just north of Wilmington. If I'm completely correct I'll let you anons choose a shirt for me to order on some shitty tshirt site and eat it.

its going to hit nc and then loop around and go into the gulf and hit Louisiana as a category 5
No problem, my grandparents spent a bunch of money on prepping. There those crazy fanatics.
Anyway, we got solar panels with batteries, a generator with a big ass propane tank. And a years worth of food.
But we have only a 22, haa haa. they dont like guns aparently.
Maybe I need to go grab a cheap shotgun.
Robert Thompson
go to the store and buy a remington 870 tomorrow. it's one of the cheapest shotguns you can buy & perfect for home defense.
Christopher Davis
South Carolina user here. While I’m glad we dodged the bullet I won’t lie, I’m a bit saddened we won’t be at least getting some comfy rain and wind. Best of luck NC bros, you’re going to need it.
>contributes nothing of value while crying about the steadily growing contributions of others Thanks for the salty tears faggot. Why don't you consider doing something useful. Go out and be the first storm victim to drown on live stream. We will make plenty of dank memes if your honor.
Blake Nelson
130 mph Category 4 between Isle of Palms and Myrtle Beach.
May the snowbird Yankee carpetbaggers be swept into the Atlantic.
Tyler Lewis
Walmart is open tonight, buy while they still have stock. You know shit is going to sell out soon.
Cooper Johnson
We even got wells, and filters. But only one 22 handguns. so stupid.
Nicholas Garcia
>Isle of Palms wiped off the map If only this would happen.
That we can do, we don't live in a big city. So there probably won't be looting where we live.
Carter Cooper
Agreed, but if you have a choice between a Remington 870 and no shotgun, which are you going to go with? A modern Remington 870 will still get the job done.
Nathaniel Hernandez
In all seriousness, if you live in the area buy as much gas as you can right now before the stations run out. During Rita all of our gas stations ran out, so for Ike they brought in a ton of gas to compensate for the added demand. Turns out the gas pumps don't work without power, so it still sucked. All said, Don't be the jackass waiting in line for 3-4 hours to buy 5 gallons of gas.
James Baker
most walmarts don't sell guns/ammo past 10 p.m.
Matthew Walker
work at a walmart on the coast, water is already gone and pallets of it that come in are picked dry within minutes of being taken to the sales floor
Evan Wright
I second this, remington is shit these days, get a mossberg 500 or 590
RIP, Outer Banks. My wife and I stayed at a Corolla resort once for our honeymoon. Wanted to do some late night hot tubbing but it was closed. We were drinking so decided to sneak in, and I banged her right there in the middle of the resort facing all the windows. When she stood up, my cum fell out of her pussy into the hot tub. Wonder we didn’t get kicked out.
I didn't realize this. Is that a law or a store policy?
Evan Brooks
>be South Florida user >watching the eastern seaboard get destroyed while i experience possible mild rain >waves bring in faster migrating schools of fish >fishing gets better for me, as people die and attempt to survive a Hurricane which to Florida anons is nothing, no more than 400 miles away from me Feels gud tbqh famalam.
Elijah Wood
I'm travelling by car from Harrisonburg, VA to Roanoke, VA and then to Charleston,WV on Saturday.
What should I be concerned about?
Isaac Johnson
shit forgot to add that to the OP (if you posted the same one somewhere in the last thread, I remember you posting this before.) - Thanks, if I'm still up to post the next one I'll add it to the OP.
Brody Gomez
Would any oldfags in the thread tell us about how things were done before there were all these supercomputer weather models? These didn't exist until the 80s, right?
Austin Nguyen
I read your posts earlier. I'd buy some Rain-X. Works great.
Joshua Hernandez
Drowning
Jaxson Rogers
Guns is because the NICS system doesn't operate at night.
Ammo is because they're lazy and there's nobody in sporting goods.
Benjamin Barnes
Hell stores in middle sc are already out of water
Isaiah Robinson
Don't underestimate the will of looting niggers. Debbie Wasserman Schultz will fucking bus them in.
I threw that to you at the end of the last thread, but I didn't make it. It has a bunch of good links, if you scroll to the bottom and look at the bottom right it translates it all to something you can copy paste here.
The Blue Ridge will squeeze a ton of moisture out of this storm and cause severe inland flooding similar to what happened with Camille and Hazel.
Turn around, don't drown when you approach a flooded road.
Juan Gutierrez
They didn't have perfect models but there was forecasts. We just didn't bother with up to minute details every 5 minutes. Check the forecast and wait 8-12 hours to see what had changed, rinse repeat till SHTF or didn't and fizzled out.
Gavin Moore
At least for ammo, I think it's store policy. Here in FL, we've got lots of nigs, and as everyone knows, nigs are nocturnal animals.
Makes sense, I've never tried to buy a gun at night, I just assumed that you could buy them whenever the store is open. You watched the local news basically. I even bought pic related back in the day for that specific purpose during a hurricane.
Indeed, that, radar, ships and buoy reports were all we had prior to satellites, by then it was then sat based forecasting and we had better isometric knowledge. Then computer modelling has become dominant, however even now some models go full retard.
I'm old, but I don't think that there's anyone here old enough to remember hurricanes before at least local news satellite forecasts. I'd imagine you just lived your life and all of a sudden it got windy and rainy.
> Kuykendahl Fuck, it's Houston. My old stomping ground. I remember when a bus from an old-folks home left the engine running with no proper ventilation and the old people died of carbon monoxide poisoning. Times were rough. Luckily staying in Houston both times didn't result in my death.
