There are many kinds of people in Afghanistan. Northerners are mostly Central Asians but to the South and Eastern borders with Pakistan live Pashtuns who are mostly strictly conservative Sunni Muslims. In Jihadi circles, it doesn't matter what your origin is as long as you are of the highest character, brave and relied upon by the fighters you lead.
