When you are shown pictures of the dead jews the allies found at the end of the war, those are typus (mostly) and starvation victims. Gassing does not somehow magically make you emaciated and skinny.

Their emaciation clearly indicates they were kept alive for as long as possible.

They were treated extremely well (by POW standards) until the last months of the war, when Germany was cut off from material and fuel due to allied bombing and the two fronts closing in. When they couldn't even take care of their own citizens, of course the POWs were going to get the worst of it.

e.g like it was pointed out above, Anne Frank (a child) was still alive until April 1945, literally weeks before the end of the war, and she died of the TYPHUS outbreak that plagued Germany throughout the war. Even the jews admit this. And her father survived the camp... living until 1980, becoming wealthy telling her daughter's "story".

It's a shame Germans didn't take precautions to prevent the typhus outbreak that plagued Germany thoughout the war... e.g. disinfecting the camps with the primary typhus treatment at the time, the pesticide Zyklon B which kills the insect that causes typhus, and burning typhus diseased corpses and clothing etc. like the British did when they liberated her camp.

The study has actively caused me serious difficulties. I remember at the age of 6-7 due to a series of rather benign events coming to the conclusion that God is probably not real, and that even if I couldn't disprove him 100% that there is sufficient evidence to prove he was or is evil enough to make his existing for the sake of worship functionally irrelevant. I have been a cold, calculating Sociopath since I was at least literally 6-7. I have carried a computerlike callous indifference functionally all of my life. I hold very little opinion on literally anything. I have almost no Ego. I hold very little opinions. I have very little conflict inside of myself because I've spent my entire life thinking about my own existence, and I came to the conclusion that all I really want is to be unbiased as possible so that I might be technically correct as possible.

With all of that in mind, considering from a starting base differential factor of even just one getting you to the point that at least 3/4 of people might as well functionally not being human, that there really does seem no point in applying oneself if you know better because after all factors those you will wish to help are such a nuanced group that they might as well functionally not exist, why shouldn't someone just go crazy? Like, let's say you're a White Supremacist or just a White and want your people to keep existing (I hold no biased here, I don't care) for the sake of an example. You already have a group permeated with so much internal conflict, be it purity spiraling and or indifference, that your group could be earnestly considered to be so small as to not be able to do anything capable of saving themselves. Now, cut out 3/4 of them. What's worth fighting for at that point?

I have always suspected people were really, really dumb, but to be surrounded by what might as well be animals... It would help explain why I'm so tired all the time. It's disheartening. I'll keep on doing, but this is worth dying.

I want things to work, I do. I swear to all that is good, I want things to work. Sometimes hard calls have to be had, but I want things to work.
