I used to live in a student dorm block. At first it was fun, you get to meet many students. But the walls are paper thin. After a while I couldn't take the parties every night until 3 AM, the rampant drug abuse and alcoholism anymore. I got a better job and moved out. Had to pause university for two years, but improved life circumstances made it definitely worth it.

The only thing that's bad about commieblock is if they are built poorly, which isn't necessarily a commieblock trait.
The fact that they are afterwards often filled with shitty people exactly because it's cheap and efficient housing isn't the commieblock's fault.

But it is. The only reason why that sort of housing is affordable is because you put everybody in a small box and stack those boxes of prefabricated concrete on top of eachother. Everybody who has a bit do money doesn't want to live there. Everybody who can afford it lives where there is space between himself and his neighbours. Or at least not 150 neighbours sharing the same lift, entrance, mailboxes. So that in turn leads to normal people moving out, and shitty people moving into commie blocks. Cheap architecture collects cheap people that live in it.
Believe me, I know. Luckily I have a job now that allowed me to move out.
