A motion toward the northwest is forecast to begin by this afternoon and continue through Thursday. Florence is expected to slow down considerably by late Thursday into Friday, and move slowly through early Saturday. On the forecast track, the center of Florence will move over the southwestern Atlantic Ocean between Bermuda and the Bahamas today, and approach the coast of North Carolina or South Carolina in the hurricane warning area on Thursday and Friday.

This thing is expected to stall on the coast, so yeah it has real potential to pull off Harvey 2.0 It all depends on how much the movement speed has slowed down when it makes landfall. Harvey was progressing near walking speed and was half placed on land and sea, which made it so devastating. It was constantly able to replenish itself from the warm sea. The sea is warm as fuck here too, so this is going to be very interesting. No telling how this is going to behave.
