Truth is 99% of doctors will not prescribe opiates unless you are in massive pain - and then they UNDER-prescribe them.
Vast majority of MDs/GPs will not prescribe anything stronger than vicodin - ever.
They are under massive threat from the DEA so its easier to just let people in pain suffer.

You're somewhat correct. Last time I needed pain meds, they gave me ibuprofen 800mg and not anything like Vicodin or Oxycontin. But depending on where you are in the country, it could be as easy as going into an urgent care and getting it.

Fuck off leaf, I have an aging family member with severe arthritis and degenerative spine - her Dr let her suffer for 6 years before finally prescribing ONE vicodin per day.
Big joke is the prescription can only be filled every 30 days, but the number of pills always prescribed is 28.
Can't even order more pills until 30 days have passed, then it takes another 3-4 days to fill.
Dr has literally told her she is UNABLE to prescribe more and would have to see a specialist for anything stronger.
