Even TODAY, when Trump announced more tariffs on China, the stocks took an absolute nosedive and many traders lost money. Whenever Trump mentions tariffs, the stocks tank. The economy would be doing much better if he just stopped talking about them or implementing more of them. Companies wont invest if they feel the cost is too high

Is just speculation and bullshit, lmao. If enough world leaders get together and chime about how great everything is, and enough people believe it, then the value of stocks are going to go up. The value of stocks are completely arbitrary and based off of feels, not reals.
The effect of trade wars is that the cost of goods go up as nations keep imposing tariffs on each other. That isn't going to be reflected in the stock market if enough investors believe that no one will care, or if they don't feel like they're directly affected, or if they believe that it won't have any long term effects, or if they're convinced that the economy is going well regardless of how well it's actually doing.

The stock market is nothing more than belief and confidence. If not enough people care about a suspected downturn, then it won't be reflected in the stock market. If too many people think the economy isn't going well, regardless of how well it actually is doing, then the value plummets. It is not inherently rational
