The inner core of the building was on fire for several hours, and it collapsed first, leaving an outer shell of the building. You can see this in videos of WTC7 collapsing, as the penthouse gives way first and falls a few seconds before the outer shell of the building leans and collapses backwards. The notion that it was controlled demolition is laughable honestly.
