Bump!
> Eddie is wearing purple too!
((Eddie)) why are you so sad?
Purple is a very symbolic color too.. Pearl Harbor mentioned at one point as well.
>It's quiet, we like quiet
>Don't open that door, it's quiet too quiet!
> We got some breaking news goyim!
Why are you so happy
Sharks!
look up Purple Revolution
PETER SELLERS WAS SUPERSTITIOUS ABOUT A LOT OF THINGS, ESPECIALLY COLORS.
Green gave Sellers “strange vibrations” and disturbed him. He never wore it, and refused to act with anyone wearing green. Purple was even worse. During the making of After The Fox, director Vittorio De Sica flew into a rage one day when a script girl showed up in a purple outfit. “It’s the color of death!” De Sica told Sellers, and Sellers was haunted by this for the rest of his life.
In later years, Sellers' aversion to purple produced such volcanic tantrums that publicists would scour his proposed hotel rooms in search of the color, and if they found it, change the room.
>2.5 million dead
>it's too quiet
>lost a plane over Iraq
>pearl harbor literally mentioned
>a fucking story about 911 the emergency line
>American Airlines mentioned
The news had a happier more upbeat tone, the stories in focus were general products usually of a self help nature without any identity politics being included, people seemed more optimistic and the mood was lighter. Even the jingles were more positive, not the deep reverberating doom sounds in the news today.
I don't know what else you're trying to display with this clip but it's certainly a stark reminder of how much more positive the pre-9/11 world was.
BREAKING NEWS: A PLANE HAS LANDED ON THE ROOF OF THE WORLD TRADE CENTER
“Second spy plane lost contact over iraq”
That’s two unaccounted for planes.
I was watching today show then. Master race.l b4 I was redpilled one generally alphabet networks kikery
> stay tuned, goyim! you're not going to want to miss ((this))...
> literally fading into subliminal satanic flashy images of death and graves
Sounds like a nutter.
Bush was asked about the tax cuts, he said he'll tell us later today :^)
Things were much happier back then. Society needs to reset. It pains me to say it, but we're only slowing the inevitable at this point.
Yeah, the last few moments of the 1990s
DELET THIS
Everything has gotten darker. Everything.
t. Gen X
I remember the lead up for the Presidential Election for 2000. Both Bush and Gore were pandering to the moderates and they were pretty much seen in the public eye as carbon copies of each other with minor differing points. You won't see any kind of election like that for a long damn time.
Honestly, 2012 kinda felt like that. I'll need to give the 2000 debates a listen though.
As much as I'm not crazy about Bush 43, I shudder to think how things would have played out if Al Gore was president instead.
This.
Born in '75, it's like living in some dystopian fucked up nightmare
Slightly less lies and more facts. The facts were carefully picked to support a certain narrative but at least they were events instead of events + anonymous sources + emotions like today
I agree. I'm a tad younger than you and seeing how much has changed from the late '90s to the early '00s is depressing. It's hard to remember that freak SJWs and out of this world flaming alien homos weren't a staple back then.
"Compassionate Conservative" vs "Moderate Liberal"
Is anyone ever going to fall for that bullshit ever again? Or a year later with Colin Powell saying Iraq had WMD "slam dunk". Fuck neo-cons, fuck the Deep State, and fuck the ZOG. (Also fuck Al Gore and his carbon cult bullshit.)
More videos like that?
77 here, can confirm. Too bad we didn't get a cool dystopia like Blade Runner.

IX XI
Anybody got the gif showing the roman numerals coming together with the X's forming the Star of David?
I have this
Any of you old dudes or anyone else have anecdotes on what you were doing when you heard about it?
I was a college freshman getting ready for debate class when I saw the aftermath of the jet collisions on TV in my dorm, but went to class and missed seeing the collapse of both buildings live on TV. At the time I didn't realize how much weight it really would hold and future events would change, also I had felt that the arabs had something to do with it.
Was studying C++ at the time and was at my sisters place. Caught it on TV just after the first plane had hit. Saw the second hit live.
Not particularly exciting, but remember telling my sister's boyfriend that shit was gonna change in drastic way from this.

The whole point of morning TV isn't to make you want to crawl back under the covers, user.
>It's too quiet!!
No it was just like every other morning but knowing what happens in a few hours makes it eerie. There was nothing different about this broadcast than the months before it.
1981 - Not WTC but good enough
That video was classy, I liked the shout out to They Live in it. RIP Rowdy Roddy Piper.
John Carpenter fan reporting in!
