Also I would question what your definition of "good" is. The JF-17 is a decent aircraft for third world nations and a lesser powers where the JF-17 could function as a low in the western doctrine of high-low but the fact of the matter is that a JF-17 is likely to get housed by the vast majority of 4th or 5th gen western aircraft and the newer Russian 4th gen Sukois. The JF-17 can be useful, but it is by no stretch of the imagination "good" when compared to any reasonably modern aircraft from any great power. Since China is now a great power it's important that we hold them to the same standards as their contemporaries.
