why does anyone support trump as a serious political force? he is clearly a senile, egotistic old man who doesn't understand how government works. What does he have to offer people in terms of actual policies?

The economy is recovering amazingly, jobs are up, illegal immigrants are down, ICE is deporting by the million, trade deals with foreign countries are getting better, the EU is breaking up, and then there's that whole "ended Nork nuclear threat" thing. Sure, whats-his-name in South Korea worked to end their war, but Kim agreeing to denuclearize is a separate issue that's all Trump's doing. The Koreas don't have to be at war for him to launch missiles at OTHER countries.

I'm a leftist and I'm willing to admit I was wrong. Trump is a far better president than Hillary for advancing my agenda.

1. Alienating America's allies through dickhead diplomacy, undermining American soft power by pulling out of international agreements, and breaking down free trade are all perfectly in-line with my interests as an anti-imperialist. Trump is the end of the American century.
2. Liberals are radicalizing, socialist parties are growing, and there's now a growing segment of the population that has embraced socialism and rejected bourgeoisie democracy and is unafraid to admit it.
3. The divisions between the left and right are stronger than ever, and the only thing both sides can agree on is how much they hate the government. If this keeps up, the American people will become ungovernable.
4. The government itself has been drastically weakened as well. Cooperation between different parts of the government are reaching all time lows, leaks are constant from both sides, and meanwhile the debt is skyrocketing.
5. None of his worst promises seem likely to come to pass. Dreamers aren't getting deported, Obamacare wasn't repealed, ect. Sure he gave a trillion dollars to the richest, but that's going to result in the economy overheating and crashing anyway which also is in line with my interests as an anti-capitalist.

Basically, I'm glad Hillary lost and I hope Trump wins in 2020. America won't survive it.
