You don't have to have 4 kids though, that's a lot to handle for most people. Unless you're super responsible and have a lot of time on your hands, or you live in a mansion with your parents to help take care of them, 4+ kids is probably not worth it. Two or three is reasonable for an average middle-class family.

You know your dog will always be home, even if you forgot to feed it for a day or take it out, because you know it will always love you.
