Turkey, USA, Kurds and the rest of the rats can be dealt with by the use of a prolonged campaign of IED's, car/truck bombs, ATGM, sniper, etc attacks, the important thing is to secure and consolidate Syria.
Turkey could help Assad, Russia and Iran in their fighting against PKK in Syria and Irak. In the end retaking the oil fields for Syria would be more useful than Idlib.

Afrin? There was no military presence there so the US couldn't care less. On the other hand they have setup bases all over nothern Syria as well as Al-Tanf. They setup permanent presence there to have a perfect justification to bomb SAA if they wander too close.
Samuel Bennett
Nothing has started yet, we/Russians/Syrians still have to wait for Israel/USA to release the fake gas attack that they filmed a couple weeks ago. The editor of the video was a bit slow, so the ((((((MSM)))))) only got the video a couple days ago. They will release it as soon as Israel/USA tell them to, so they can start bombing the minute it is released.

Going against the PKK means a confrontation with the USA. That's probably the last item on the list.

>In Syria they could use a long asymmetric warfare against the YPG.
ineffective, to fight a guerilla army with the same tactic.
The only problem with rojava is, it's full of kurds. bring in heavy artillery, and flatten every village and every city from save distance. No kurds, no problems.
the guy from slovmemeia is right, that's something to worry about after Idlib and probably after some other issues
Jonathan Gray
If Erdogan helped Assad out in retaking the NE of Syria, the Turkish army would not simply leave, you know...

would still be better than having a literaly israel 2.0 in syria. To add is, that the SAA would advance from Deir Ez Zor and then mainly east and liberating the precious oilfields and also cutting off the southern part, which would be easy to take. So, this would a win for assad and a win for erdogan and a completely defeat for kurds and the US. i had no problem with this solution.
In the end the aim would be to inflict so serius damages to the YPG that a US military presence there would be ineffective/not worthy. Russia made clear that no further serious attack to Assad would be accepted, so being the war in Syria lost, why the USA would accept to pursue a fight - facing maybe loss of humans lifes - in order to keep some oil fields? They are alredy major exportes of oil... Russia probably would help too since the oil back in Assad hand would mean money to rebuild the country/buy equipment.
The YPG can't stand a fight against the hardned militia of both Iran and Turkey, and they are already attacked in Turkey, Iraq, and at war with the KRG kurds.
Metropolitan Koperasi and Anticipiate Seraphim accused of Patriarch Bartholomew of Constantinople in the schism of Orthodoxy and urged him to repent and cease to provoke the schism.
wow, that's an stupid argument. You think the US troups in a-stan are all grunts? Unlikely. The Kurds are in their natural habitat: fucking mountains. You need more than "hardened militias" to get rid of them. Only arabs think this way. Oh look, a memeflag.
This whole Idlib thing is becoming much more geo-political than military...im afraid it will be a low energy affair all the way to the end. But this is just a guess i may be wrong.

naw, it still has potential to go down hard and dirty and sudden, but yeah, the prospects for that get bleaker as time goes on isn't tomorrow another meeting? till that is over nothing changes from the situation now

hopefully enough for one Syrian provice they can solve r****a/k*******n through diplomatic means over the years for all I care, as that seems the way to go there, but ALQ/HTS/'moderates' in Idlib have to burn

It's a mixture of quality updates, memes and shitposting. When things heat up this is probably the best information stream there is. For instance when the Israeli f16 got shot down we had updates from twitter and Syrian and Israeli posters.
The Syrian Civil War. Most of the posting here revolves around military action in this war. It's not just Syria that's talked about though Yemen, Iraq, Afghanistan and Ukraine are also discussed whenever something major happens within those countries.
Alexander Bennett
>the syrian civil war How can you get updates on that if there currently aren't any western boots on the ground?
Anthony Flores
What I mean is that there currently aren't any infantry or mechanized elements deployed as far as I know.
Robert Bell
>how can you get updates on that what? There's a ton of news sites like southfront, reuters, al-masdar that have frequent articles about happenings in Syria, and even more detailed information is available through twitter accounts of people directly involved in the war.
