Well I was asking because you almost equated getting Venezuelan exiles with Peru getting its shit together. For the record we have 4-5 times as many Venezuelan exiles here as Peru has, mainly due to our geographical proximity, and I believe "getting our shit together" is the last description I would give about my country at least. I don't know much about Peru but maybe they are indeed getting their shit together, but it'd be not for the reason you mentioned. In conclusion, I believe that the pitiful situation in Venezuela can't be used as an argument for thinking that other countries in the region are doing good. Latin America (and actually most emerging markets) is doing badly and only little progress is there to be seen in any country but you are right in implying that some countries like the ones you mentioned have had it worse than the rest
