Thanks, but I'm being serious. I think the original Devilman manga is one of the few manga that can be legitimately called a masterpiece. It sticks to its guns and doesn't pussy out, it's well-paced, there are no superfluous characters to the plot, and Go's crude art works with the type of story he's telling.

Eh, dunno, in general, some things in this adaptation felt kinda off, be it because of the plot development, or because of the art style. Not to mention all the subtle jewification of the story.

Overall though, I would consider this an OK adaptation, some of it being red-pilled, but not entirely.

If you mean Miki's father being white, I think it's because it would be easier for Japs to accept their family being Christians then.

this show is honestly pretty shit. castlevania anime was alright but this was bad, it somehow made even less sense than go nagai's original manga

Well it does have to do with Miki's father, the scene where he is holding the gun, and then the camera zooms out and shows him struggling to use it, the scene is supposed to be sad and dramatic, and yet, it looked like a comical moment to me, thanks to the art-style. That scene done in the style in of the older Devilmen would look much better IMO...

Storywise, the way characters reacted felt somewhat off at certain moments, but then again, there were moments like that in the original manga, and other adaptations, so yeah...

Now watch the original show. It has basically nothing to do with the manga or other adaptations but it's fun and does its own thing.
