My girlfriend and I have been watching The Greatest Story NEVER Told. It's kind of sad and we just finished Part 9: Betrayal of the Cossacks, which was especially a downer. Any recommendations for shows or movies to stream that are still historical or political but are more cheerful? If I keep watching these episodes back-to-back I'm going to eat a Walther.

I was pretty bummed after watching it too. It's a lot to process. Maybe take some time to decompress before watching the rest. As I recall you are in the darkest part besides maybe the part about how brutally German POWs were treated by the Soviets. I ended up watching The Man in the High Castle immediately after and it's pretty good. They accidentally portray an alternative future where the Nazis win as amazing.
I also just watched The Sound of Music for the fist time in forever and it was pretty whitepilling. Sure the Nazis are the bad guys, but the Austrians are still super nationalist and it's 100% wholesome.
