Because they keep bringing in it by forcing each political system to the extreme and then planting groups who agitate for change. In this instance they have run the state down and flooded Europe with immigrants so that people DO want change, then they photograph those people and say look at all these Nazis. It’s an entirely false narrative

The "far right" fascists, or rather as they should be called "Ultranationalists" are exactly what the left labels them: reactionaries. The Far right support base when it rises was 10 years previously just everyday people and moderates. Those people over those 10 years have all but one choice taken away from them: Do you want to live under Communist Internationalists who are backed by Capitalist Internationalists? Or do you want to live under Ultranationalists? The rise of the far right mirrors exactly the rise of the far left. The Far-right acts in reaction to Internationalism and Egalitarianism baring it's teeth.
Germany? Mirrored the rise of the Communist party.
Italy? Mirrored the rise of the International Socialists.
Spain? Uprising occurred because the Communists and Socialists entered government together.
Even Chile; the coup happened to prevent Allende from backing the Communist sphere and Nationalizing most of the country.
Orthodox Marxism/Communism may have fallen but something else has taken it's place on the far left. Cults of Diversity, mass immigration, widespread degeneracy in the public space, etc, people running around telling us that we're all equal and socially constructed (despite all the evidence to the contrary) And in response every day people are starting to become disillusioned with it. When the only people that actually stand up to it are Ultranationalists, they gain momentum. We're not even close to the end position of this dynamic yet, in fact it has just begun, but the rise of Regular Nationalist and Nationalism parties and movements, who had little to no power before, is generally the first step.
And what will cause a full and open backlash? Economic Collapse brought on by the policies of both governmental and non-governmental Internationalists. Example: Greece. It likely won't be the coming recession but the following one that causes Ultranationalism to emerge as a major force once again in major Western countries.

I used to think that in the past everyone had a perfectly rational opposition to fascism and it was only later as the decades grew on and Westerners became crazy and drunk on power that they started to view any kind of opposition to their maximally degenerative liberalism as fascist Nazis, but now I'm wondering whether even back then, at the height of the late 30s, whether their opposition was as crazed, hysterical and myopic as it is today.
Connor King

"Enlightened thinking in dark times"
even within this phrasing are the seeds of whig history, the past was dark and then progress and enlightenment slowly came and replaced it. a big problem with these types of people is that they are paid and employed because of their capacity to ideologically defend orthodox western views. if they had the capacity to understand their opponents and view them as people rationally rejecting the status quo, they would not have been employed because they would be viewed as corrupted. it's an ideological positive feedback loop mediated by capital that has created the mass divergence between our rulers and our populations. the meagre and pitiful efforts to bring this back into balance by people (like Haidt or Peterson) who can recognise the overreach of prog-lib and try and carefully moderate its excesses to furious true believers is like putting a plaster on an open head wound
Luis White
This post is 100% correct. Actually, a frankfurt school critical theorist pretty much said the same thing (although naturally that faggot said that fascism comes because the communist revolution wasn't communist enough, rather than because people hate communism categorically).

It's a lot more complicated than that. I'm familiar with Chapo Trap House and other anti-PC leftists who say "guys we need to tone down the moral schreeching," but if you listen closely to their material, they still believe in all the wacky PC causes ("trannies are a group to be taken seriously," "people who aren't left wing should be marginalized," etc).
The thing is that classical economic Marxists are just not very common. The idpol shit has infected Marxism so thoroughly everywhere that Marxism spreads out of, that idpol it's basically a canonical part of Western Marxism. These dudes who unironically call themselves Marxist-Leninist-Maoists and actually follow classical Marxism to the letter are on the level of Varg-tier Pagan LARPers, just such an obvious LARP that has no connection to consequential human activity anywhere.

In Italy, fascism was a reaction to far leftists.
In France, our dear Maréchal built his base upon a reaction to far leftism.

I myself was a hardcore anti-revisionist (what you call classical) Marxist and anti-PC as well. But indeed modern anti-revisionist Marxism as a movement lacks focus and seems stuck in retrospect. Nowadays, after considering that nationality and culture are important factors in human society and that things aren't all economic, and also after moving into mysticism I suppose I feel more like a nazbol nowadays. To be honest in my current way of thinking Marxism and fascism don't necessarily seem so fundamentally opposed if we consider their . Perhaps the seeming 'polar opposition' is more of a historical artifact from the second World War. This is heresy to all though, to be sure.

The key practical difference between Marxism and fascism is that in Marxism the national capitalist class is liquidated and replaced by workers/representatives of workers or the state bureaucratic apparatus, while in fascism the national capitalist class is made to bend to the will of the workers and the people via the state. The end goals seem somewhat similar, don't they? In the context of the modern international global economy especially, with an international capitalist class, this difference between the two seems even less substantial, and more a a matter of practical implementation.
