Even though I haven't any particular reason to sympathize him and haven't even listened very attentively to his preaches, I still was on his side every time someone attacked him, because they didn't have legible critics of him: it either trannies joking about daddy and lobsters or right-wing phonies attacking for made up reasons for not staying on their side. That he throws "simple self-help advices everyone knows" is not an argument, as it wasn't the reason people took attention to him. But it definitely helped people to start making changes in their lives.
What is the problem for me is to understand at least some of his solid believes. I didn't need them at all before because the only time I took attention to Peterson is when he was attacked: he got attacked by one of the before mentioned group, they have no arguments, I turn my attention to something else.
But after this article [1] where the author mentioned that she had no fucking idea what he was talking about, I kinda started to notice it as well. That he is very vague in his words. This works great for him when he is defending. But he had no new thought to offer for a regular person except his interpretations of religion texts.
