S-200s can home on any target emitting radiations independently of the IFF with its own passive radar on its "home on jam" setting especially made to target wild weasel and ECMs thus defeating them.

Now (((CNN))) is trying to cover it up claiming it was the SAA that shot down the Russian plane while intercepting French cruise missiles.
