Socialism is an economic doctrine, and guides economic decisions, but also, since it’s so closely related to communism, and by extension, Marxism, it inherently dangerous. National Socialism is a general governing philosophy, and describes how citizens should behave within their country.
The misconception is that national socialism is some sort of economic doctrine related to socialism. This could not be further from the truth. Private property and private business existed within the Third Reich and its lands, it just had the guiding hand of the government to make sure it didn’t do anything that would compromise the people’s cohesion and the country’s culture.
If you want to see how unbridled capitalism manifests itself, look no further than the US. I hate what this country has become.

It’s just been very harmful. Business's primary prerogative is to maximize profits and minimize expenses. When a government allows this with little to no restriction, it damages the culture and people of the nation. Determining the success of capitalism is all about which angle you view it from. For the most part, we’re all fed, housed and clothed, the country has a high GDP (whatever that means for the average citizen) but in the same panorama, obesity is out of control and people generally aren’t taking care of themselves (fast food and hyper individualism caused this, and potentially even the welfare state fits in here, which can be tied back to unbridled capitalism), much of the population is medicated for depression or anxiety, ADD, you name it. (Big pharma) Many citizens are just mindless consuming, I hate to say it, NPCs. Chasing fleeting highs, pussy, and meme wealth. (Modern pop music, Hollywood, media and social media). And also because things like gender, race, religion all potentially stand in the way of profits, they are intentionally distorted to maximize sales.
It’s great that you and I have a platform to discuss ideas like this, and I think the technological advancement capitalism has brought has been significant, but at the same time it’s been limiting. I feel as though if companies worked to genuinely bring the consumer a better product, we’d have colonies on mars by now, but instead, they improve their product just enough as to not spend too much money on R&D and still skate the product by as ‘new’.
Humanity simply wasn’t ready for this kind of technological advancement either. Social media and by extension, the internet is a good example of this. A rest invention, which is now being used very irresponsibly.
