Was Ron Paul the ideal and Trump the reality?
Not as grounded in principle but pisses off the Neocons and Libs to no end, and is certainly less hawkish than any of the others that ran this last time with the exception of maybe Rand Paul. And while he is pro increasing the military he is not interested in using for regime change or a full war (at least thus far) and is more interested in our trade policies

I can't speak for the rest of Jow Forums, but the only reason I supported Ron Paul was because he seemed like the only hope. The idea of someone as perfect as Trump existing didn't even enter my mind.

As a 2012 Paul supporter, I can accept that. Whether or not, staying out of the middle east sandbox was the right move. We don't need that neocon foolishness, we have enough problems to address right now without tilting our lances at windmills and playing babyish muh flag hero games for tuskan sandraiders.

Ron Paul was the reality, Trump is the ideal. Trump is fully grounded in principle, they're just not quite what Paul's are. Trump is the most perfect kind of President: A highly attuned compass to the challenges facing America, and zero scruples towards meeting that challenge. Reagan and FDR had the same outlook, and they routinely go down in the top five or ten.

The only negative thing I can say about Trump is his Israel cocksucking. Other than that, he's unironically the greatest President in US history, and even with his flaws he is still way better than we deserve. He is so great, it's almost as if some divine influence made sure psychopath Hillary didn't win and gave us Trump instead. It's the only logical explanation.
