Actually Japan only really has conservative and more conservative parties. Unlike in Germany, the post war period of Japan only caused an expunging of pro-war factions instead of pro-conservative factions. Because we didn't force a 'liberal democratic' social order down their throat the way we did to Germany, and broadly speaking the low level political figures were allowed to stay in power (there was no program like de-nazification in japan like there was in Germany), Japan has managed to remain staunchly conservative in culture and tenor in the post war period.

demilitarization is the only non-conservative thing Japan has adopted in the 21st century, and this only because it was forced on them by the US. I suspect that once the Japanese Constitution is amended to end this policy Japan will retake its place as a full member of the international community and will begin to exercise a vigorous Asiatic policy again.
