In Christianity you are encouraged to communicate with the Holy Spirit. You can also contact angels. Contacting demons is not scripturally forbidden, in fact Jesus regularly spoke with demons. But don't bother unless you know what you are doing. Communicating with deceased humans through prayer is an absolute regular occurrence.
Ask angels and the deceased for guidance. Take control of demons, they must work for you, for Christ and the betterment of the world.

I am a Catholic, but to be clear what I have written is supported by a basic understanding of Biblical texts and should therefore be acceptable to both Protestant and Catholic alike. The unfortunate truth of the matter is that most Catholics and Protestants appear to have their own warped sense of what Christianity is and are entirely ignorant of its true nature. The idea that someone like this will make it into Heaven on this basis is laughable in the extreme. Don't follow the ignorant masses present in any group (Catholic or Protestant), because you follow them into Hell. Instead find thoughtful, insightful people and Christians who are willing to walk their own path and lead the sheep away from the abyss and the cliff edge.
