Wrong, courts are very lenient with self defense when you’re on your property, and they’re also very lenient when your family members are threatened. Orange shirt was not only a giant man, but had a bat (deadly weapon), and screamed about how he was going to kill them. I actually doubt arrests will even be made when police see the video.

If they didn't feel their lives were in danger - which they obviously didn't given that they did not appear frightened, and given that they negated his threats with "I doubt that" and "nope" , etc. - then their self-defense claim is without merit.

Ultimately it depends on the jury, but even in Texas self-defense hinges on fear for ones life or bodily integrity, which neither hillbilly had judging from the video.

nah, the transcript alone condemns the orange shirt man, regardless of their grandstanding in the moment the defense only has to state that they were simply saying things like "doubt it" as a bluff to make the man calm down and that they were saying it in fear and that they had their guns out specifically because a psychotic orange shirted man was screaming that he was going to kill them; the verbal threats combined with the behavior of the orange shirt is actually perfect stand your ground defense material, this is a rather easy case overall desu, because you only have to prove that you were "reasonably" in fear of death/bodily harm and when you have this video with a man psychotically screaming death threats that gives all the reasonable fear of harm necessary
