Zappa actually was redpilled. So much so that he had to hide his power level, believe it or not. He didn't do drugs and told everyone how they were just degenerate bullshit. He told everyone to stop watching tv. He hated degeneracy, even though the boomer lawmakers at the time accused him of being degenerate because of his lyrics (he was making fun of them and their trash). Even if you don't like Zappas music, read his interviews or listen to his lyrics and look past the base level satire. He saw it all coming and was far ahead of his time.

Frank was a bit of a skinflint when it came to his band members. He was also interviewed talking about getting crabs on the road and sending his wife to the pharmacist to pick up a prescription.

His bandmates were hired guns who were playing his music. In that era in California, ANYONE was easily replaced..hence the ever revolving door of players. He wrote everything, and had it his way. He did give some singers leeway though which he thought reasonable because he saw the human voice as the greatest instrument of all, also because he never liked his voice. This is a guy who once considered Steve Vai "adequate".
