If the EU is so bad, why do so many countries want to join?
Countries that joined more than 20 years ago may have believed they were only joining a free trade area, but you cannot use that excuse if you joined after 2000. Hungary, Poland etc knew very well what they were getting into, yet they still joined. Serbians talk about how cucked the EU is, but they still want to join. What gives?
Everyone would like to join the Kool Kids Klub of the continent and benefit from it
Matthew Nelson
Corruption. Giving away sovereignty to a foreign power is high treason.
Aaron Peterson
Black cock is a gift from Allah. Dont you forget that sven
Jackson Wilson
Not being in the EU doesn't mean your gouvernment isn't leftist, globalist and corrupt.
Bentley Wright
It's not if it's a democratic decision though. You Brits were, like we were, victims of the bait and switch tactics of the EU federalists, but Serbia isn't. If they vote to join the EU, there's no treason involved.
Nicholas Allen
Had that been the case, you wouldn't have been able to have your "Brexit"...
Angel Martinez
>Serbians talk about how cucked the EU is, but they still want to join. Actually no. The people in power of Serbia (ie NATO puppets) want it, but the people overwhelmingly oppose it.
William Martin
>If the EU is so bad, why do so many countries want to join? free gibs. the same reason shitskins from Iraq, Syria, and Mali want to come there
Serbia will never join the EU for obvious reasons.
And government doesn't really represent the population in this case, EU has like 40% support.
We're doing the reforms because they're good for us, a good plan.
Aaron Williams
See Most Serbs want to join the EU, and an overwhelming majority either wants to join or is neutral. The reason you haven't joined is because the EU doesn't let you, not because you don't want to.
Angel Miller
>Serbia will never join the EU for obvious reasons. what reasons
Matthew White
>The reason you haven't joined is because the EU doesn't let you, not because you don't want to. This is true if by "you" you mean the leadership, but opinion polling indicates that the people do not like the idea of Serbia being in the EU.
Juan Price
The people in the EU hate the idea of another Balkan country being let in and there is very little to gain for the EU by letting you join. The EU bureaucrats will not risk shifting public opinion on the union.
Wyatt Flores
Except that's not true of course, and I supplied statistics that show just that. What evidence do you have of the contrary?
Ryan Martin
Gibs.
Evan Foster
RT:s polls will tell you otherwise where they found that 39 support 42 oppose. Talk about an authoritative view of knowledge as well. Might ass well be an (((independent fact checker))).
Jordan Cook
So RT, who obviously have a self-interest in Serbia not joining the EU, is more trustworthy than the Serbian government. Are you listening to yourself?
I mean sure, let's assume they're both equally biased. Even so, it's 52% vs 24% in the Serbian study and 48% vs 52% in the RT study (assuming there are no neutral answers). Taking the average of both you still have a much higher support for the pro-EU side.
Jason Morgan
>Denmark
Gavin Price
It's very very simple, a bunch or eastern european countries get loads of gibs, germany gets to debase their currency to keep their exports affordable, france gets a load of wogs & Britain gets fucked.
Jose Gomez
It's a EU made poll which unsurprisingly is EU biased (at not even by much 2% lol)
University students are the majority of EU supporters in each country.
>At the same time, 39.7 percent said they would not vote for Serbia's membership in the EU, while 50 percent believe the country will never join the organization, according to the poll examining the views of students on the country's foreign policy, conducted by the Center for International Public Policy think tank.
>1,323 students from 38 faculties of the University took part in the survey, that also showed 28.9 percent would vote in favor of EU membership, a little over eight percent would not turn out for such a vote, while 22.4 percent had no stance on the issue.
So 39% against 28% for
Kosovo you dumb fuck
Jaxon Watson
Politicians want to join because they get tons of benefits. A massive salary, low taxes, get to live in luxury in an area not available to the general public. EU politicians have their own fucking town that only they can live in and they get most stuff free in this town.
EU politicians live in absolute opulence and get paid to do so. Of course politicians want their country in the EU, just so they can live like kings.
David Kelly
First of all, it's not a study by the EU. It was made by your own government. It says so in the article. Secondly, it's not a 2% difference between the sides, it's 52% vs 24%.
As for your link, it's unclear what exactly the results are and how representative they are. Not voting for doesn't mean you would vote against it. And it was done by a think tank with obvious political motives.
Brayden Taylor
sweden, you fucking moron
Dominic Hall
>First of all, it's not a study by the EU. It was made by your own government. It says so in the article. Secondly, it's not a 2% difference between the sides, it's 52% vs 24%.
ahahaha, why the fuck do you think EU studies are valid ? They're made by the fucking EU to join the EU.
They're anything but unbiased.
>As for your link, it's unclear what exactly the results are and how representative they are. Not voting for doesn't mean you would vote against it. And it was done by a think tank with obvious political motives.
No you fucking moron, the article clearly states that 39.7% would vote against it, while 28% would vote for it. People who wouldn't vote weren't taken in this consideration
Ian Cook
>They're made by the fucking EU to join the EU. But that's not even true. Why is it so difficult for you to accept? It's a Serbian agency. It's not part of the EU. I've said it 3 times now. What prevents you from understanding? >No you fucking moron, the article clearly states that 39.7% would vote against it, while 28% would vote for it. No it doesn't. "Would not vote for it" means that you would not vote for it. It doesn't mean that you would vote against it. It could mean that you would vote against it, but that's not what the article says. Please read it again before you reply.
Matthew Morgan
thank you mohamad for telling me what serbs want, by citing some crap portal fake poll
>But that's not even true. Why is it so difficult for you to accept? It's a Serbian agency. It's not part of the EU. I've said it 3 times now. What prevents you from understanding?
Except it's not you absolute fucking monkey
It's a poll made by "European orientation of Serbian citizens" funded by the EU and only published by MEI (which is also funded by the EU)
It's a propaganda tool.
>No it doesn't. "Would not vote for it" means that you would not vote for it. It doesn't mean that you would vote against it. It could mean that you would vote against it, but that's not what the article says. Please read it again before you reply.
Absolute fucking monkey
>At the same time, 39.7 percent said they would not vote for Serbia's membership in the EU,
39.7% would not vote for it, meaning they would vote against it
While those that wouldn't vote are 8%
> a little over eight percent would not turn out for such a vote
While 28.9 would vote yes
> that also showed 28.9 percent would vote in favor of EU membership,
Joshua Powell
the eu is not bad per se
the current crop of corrupt politicians running it now are
Grayson Barnes
>why do so many countries want to join? Where is that picture that shows just about every country voting majority no in a public referendum?
Wyatt Adams
Accept democracy where it suits you, ignore it where it doesn't. The EU in a nutshell.
Brandon Carter
The EU is literally replacing Europeans you spineless faggot.
Now no one wants to be a part of it and its why nationalists will win the parlament elections in 2019.
Samuel Parker
>It's a poll made by "European orientation of Serbian citizens" funded by the EU and only published by MEI (which is also funded by the EU) It's part of your government, regardless of whether they receive money from the EU or not, for which you provide no evidence whatsoever. >39.7% would not vote for it, meaning they would vote against it That's not how language works. "Will not vote for" doesn't mean they will vote against it. It means, surprise surprise, that they will not vote for it. It could be that they vote against it, abstain from voting, vote for a third option or anything other than "voting for it". Perhaps they mean they will vote against it, but it's not what it says. Hence, why it's an unclear study of dubious origin.
Chase Fisher
>if you joined after 2000. Hungary, Poland etc knew very well what they were getting into, yet they still joined. YOU ARE WRONG The UE DID NOT EXIST in 2000. We joined the European Community (EC) in 2004, and the European Union started in 2009, after the Treaty of Lisbon (signed in 2007). That's a significant difference, because the EC was an organisation, not a a "political and economic union".
Isaiah Bennett
Good point, except are we to believe you had no idea it was coming? It was being planned for several years before you joined. It's not like the treaty of lisbon came out of the blue.
