Not a clear answer
>Friggin' capitalism!!!

awesome, their games were digital cancer.

Get woke. Go broke.

*glass him*

Good, I hope the entire state of California goes homeless

>cancer studio that released the same garbage """"""game"""""" 4 times a year goes under
why is this a bad thing

Good riddance
S

so these are the faggots that released that minecraft store mode garbage?

thank god these faggots went broke. I could not have imagined anything that did less justice to the minecraft franchise.

Only useless goyim.

>thank god these faggots went broke. I could not have imagined anything that did less justice to the minecraft franchise.

when I first heard that TTG had made a minecraft based game I thought that was the most retarded thing imaginable until I read this ost. 'justice to the minecraft franchise'. Lay off the weed

NO ITS YOU THATS THE PROBLEM

CAPTIALISM WORKS!! you have to work hard for what you want.

jokes seriously, who the fuck has to work hard? Thats gay, seriously, thinks dont have to break your back, FUCK CAPITALISM!!

things* not think

Jesus fuckin christ thats mean but also hilarious and totally plausible. Would anyone notice?

Telltale were based in SanFran? That explains a lot.

SanTransNigsco

so which shitty game came out of there?

>Our healthcare only lasts for one more week
Should have tried harder for single payer instead of bailing out the health insurance industry, huh?

These faggots wasted time on every series except the only great one, A Wolf Among Us. Good riddance

>the problem is capitalism
>not the socialist policies and over-regulation that prevent low-income housing to be built and drive the insane cost of living
your dumb

>TWAU literally had animations ripped straight from TWD S1 in it

These fucks died because they were lazy and they lost all credibility with their audience. There's only so long you can say, "your choices matter," when they don't till people wisen up.

>unbelievable skilled
>lived paycheck to paycheck
TTG was a company that made a name on a brand new genre, but wasn’t able to produce high quality content in adequate terms. nothing of value was lost.

>brand new genre
o wow a shittier version of visual novels. ground breaking.
fuck off.

>it's another "hyper-leftist city is an unlivable hellhole" episode

Glorified pop up books not exactly a 200+ man operation.

>techfags living paycheck to paycheck in the Gay Area
LMAO techfag hipsters BTFO

>he thinks we have capitalism
no bro, we have central banks

I didn't even know that, but I can't remember ever seeing an original IP from them. Glad they're all scrambling to find work to afford their meme lifestyles now

>have seat in the most expensive location in the US
>employ 250 people for making shitty virtual novels which most gamers don't care about
>get bankrupt
REEE FUCK CAPITALISM

If they had their seat in fucking Montana and had like 50 employees (many of the greatest video games ever were made by less people than that) their business might have been profitable, too bad it wasn't.

If they are all so talented why don't they start their own company? Oh yeh... they aren't that's why they got binned.

>Allison anticipated that The Walking Dead series could be a $20 to $30 million franchise

This is the kind of gamble that can cause a company to fold. You bet big on taking the game out of videogames, lose, then everyone becomes homeless in the dystopian hell that is San Francisco. All devs will soon be defecating on the streets addicted to heroin.

>implying central banks are not capitalist enterprises designed to be independent of political control
Sure kid

For the purpose of labor analysis, modern vidya would be better modeled like social media properties.

For many of them it will be just like home.

Why San Francisco though? I know it's trendy and all, but it's not like you can't make video games from anywhere as long as you have a talented team of devs and enough funds.

>central bank aka a monopoly protected by the state
>capitalism
full retard

Straight from /v/

Eh, though Ice-Pick Lodge definitely seems more human, their community manager and game writer is as tumblrina as you can get, some staff shows the cancerous signs too. Nowhere near commifornia/seattle though, of course.

Why the fuck are these small indie companies based in and paying Bay Area fucking salaries? They aint fucking google.

I mean Epic Games (Unreal Engine, Fortnite Battle Royale) are based in North Carolina so its definitely not required.

Their games are so simplistic (not saying they're bad) how do they have more than 50 employees? No wonder they had to clean house and not pay any severances. Was it just a roastie farm of "idea women" or something?

Modern scenarios for movies, tv series, even videogames tend to use a lot more people than they've used even 10 or 20 years ago. Same thing with music production for example, big pop artists have platoon-sized teams of songwriters. Yeah it's kinda like "idea people", but on a large scale when they're professionals in making popular things it pays off.
Thing is though - this is for really big projects, for smaller-scale ones like Telltale did they could've made do with a lot less people.

Why didn't any of them have a backup plan or an emergency stash of money for situations like this? If they were having trouble living paycheck to paycheck then maybe they should live further away where it's cheaper. It's simple economics.

Visual novels are not released in monthly installments and based off famous IPs
Try to think before cussing, NPC

This is capitalism working tough. Garbage game developer goes under for being garbage.

>Same thing with music production for example, big pop artists have platoon-sized teams of songwriters
Well, they are manufactured phenomena.
Fortunately, in music production, the talented auteur can still make a project of decent quality, working solo, or maybe one or two other live performers. Plenty of music in low-budget movies and vidya is a testament to that.

So, visual fanfics serials?

games based on tv-franchises mostly. The Walking Dead, some Game of Thrones game and you can probably remember those shitty CSI games.

Finally after 50 licensed games they can put that glitchy stuttering piece of shit engine they were using to rest. S
