Why is shopping in USA so much easier than everywhere else?

When I have traveled to Canada or places in Europe, I am shocked at how expensive everything is and how few products they have to choose from. In the USA, stores have tons and tons of different brands to choose from and everything seems cheaper. Why is this the case?

Because the quality of your products is shit.

Different stores and different quality. Regardless last time I was in Canada I paid $55 for a 30 bomb of coors

Higher taxes.

Almost all is low quality and high fructose stuff.
Almost all prepacked meat is mixed with onions or other fillers.
From what I saw it is cheaper yes but look at what you get and you guys are not surprisingly paying for cheap shit that just kinda looks good.
Which makes even those prices to high.
You still pay to much you guys are kust so easily tricked by branding and colourful packaging.

Why is all your bread fucking sweet, bread is not a desert course!

This. You actually think you're getting a quality product when you buy Smuckers jelly?

Lol.

Comments so far are stupid. You can buy healthy food also.

That’s “democratic” socialism in action

Even our raw meat products are cheaper and they’re high quality

Get that homemade blueberry jam from Whole Foods

Pumped with growth hormones.

higher taxes to pay for your """free""" healthcare, got it.

Cuz it's better cuz it's America

This is just jealous bullshit. The US has more products, more varieties on level of quality, and quality products are still cheaper in the US than in Canada.

I remember that If i wanted to eat healthy (good oil, fish, meat and vegetables) it was like x4 times more expensive than in europe.

UK was shit to shop too.

you've never food shopped in america. it is immediately apparent.

Even the gook and spic markets in america are better than whatever you have.

simple answer, it isnt

>more varieties on level of quality

Wrong.

You think you are getting quality when you buy Bon Maman jam? It is overpriced shit.

I don't know anything about that brand. You should try looking at the ingredients before you buy something.

Fresh veg here is crap because we have to import a lot of it. Local seasonal veg is fine though

Stop shopping at Walmart my nig

Lol are you serious? I just got back from my first time in America and i couldn't believe the quality of your food in supermarkets. It was so poor and filled with sugar. Couldn't wait to get back to England.

I agree, when I'm in Europe most of the grocery stores are complete shit with no selection. Also most of the restaurants have terrible waiter staff. I am always so glad to come back to the US.

Attached: 1499174436718.jpg (800x601, 173K)

The discussion we're having here is mainly about stores like Shop Rite, Path Mark, etc. We're not talking about Whole Foods.

Yes, you can buy groceries for very cheap in the U.S. Some items are so cheap you wonder how anyone is profiting off of it.

Then you get home and eat it and understand.

As others have noted, most cheap products in the U.S. are crap quality. When I was in a Nordic country over the summer, yes, groceries were more expensive, but the food was also better.

And, personally, I can live without having to choose between 200 different brands of Cheddar Cheese.

Where are you from because I’ve never heard of either of those

US was first country to require accurate food labeling

>not having your own garden
>not getting meat and diary directly from farmers in the area
>"our bullshit is better than your bullshit"

>I'm glad I can now tip the servers all the time!

>Pumped with growth hormones.
also shit-quality meat, glued together.

d-did you go to the next aisle?

You know our stores have more than one right?

All except one were sharted in

our beer is better too

And it’s always pre-shredded cheese in plastic bags, just walls of it.

Ok bro that was funny

>terrible waiter staff
>annoying, loud, obnoxious tourist-blob wants to be treated like a king where-ever he rolls
never change cunt

Don’t be silly. Our meat and vegetables are world renowned

>and they’re high quality

Attached: 1532971812458.png (490x380, 129K)

please, they feed you only gmo shit.

This desu. It's too easy to picture an unsophisticated American tourist in a European restaurant, picking his ear, talking loudly and burping.

Capitalism creates competition, competition creates lower prices.

Most of our meat is full of hormones. You have to pay extra to get natural meat.

Ecinomic competition. Nobody except for pretentious hipsterfags will spend 20$ for 6 beers or 8$ for 'asparagus water'

I went to about 3 or 4 supermarkets and they were all trash. Walmart, target and Marcs. And don't give me your "well that's what you get for shopping at Walmart" because we have asda here which is owned by Walmart and the quality of food in asda wipes the floor with yours. You all eat shit and are happy for it.

I dunno man, meat, rice, potatoes, and frozen veggies are really cheap here. Sure lots of fatties buy cheap processed food and just eat that but if you're trying to be Jow Forums I think its easier here than anywhere else to do on a budget. $15 gets me chicken for a week, $5 covers my veggies for a week, and potatoes and brown rice are practically free. I only really spend money on food when I go out to eat or when I eat junk.

the US really does have low prices for everything compared to other first world countries. I've been to Kuwait, Europe, and Korea and all of them had higher prices for anything I wanted compared to home. This can be found in more than anecdotal evidence as well, plenty of economists have written papers on our relatively free market for consumer goods and the low cost and efficiency of our logistics contributing to greater consumer buying power here than most places.

>poor quality
>couldn't wait to get back to england
you fuckers are just as bad, 50 types of prepapacked microwavable (((pies))) not to mention all the tv dinner style meals sold of as (((premium))) and all the different sugary treats
for fucks sake I've ever only seen 1 type of oreos, the regular kind, but you have 12 different types and flavours

I'm not trying to be organic fag or any sort, but fresh products are for the freshness, and America has one of the worst logistics in the world

the supermarkets in the UK have very narrow isles , even the out of town ones. I can't wait to get back home and not be squashed in this muslim infested shit hole

Because the United States of 'Merica is #1.

Europoors are socialist faggots.

The fuck are you talking about? Maybe in the cities but we have farmers markets literally everywhere that isn't a faggot city.

German beer is a meme

But many grocery stores in USA have special artisan sections and in general there are many speciality stores that made stuff like meat or tea in fancy ways. Just seems like in USA there is always more of everything in abundance. We even have chains like Trader Joes which specialize in organic products.

>america
>worst logistics
>birthplace of UPS and FedEx
>worst logistics
what other global logistics goliaths apart from those are noteworthy? DHL? which only works in the infrastructure heavy Germany and struggles to compete anywhere else?
don't talk about shit you don't understand faggot

Sure enjoy the antibiotic, growth hormon riddled glued together steaks

Also why the fuck is there so much more beer in USA? In most beer stores and grocery stores that sell beer they have HUNDREDS of brands of beer made in all kinds of ways, from big producers to small local crafters. Why dont you really see this anywhere else?

every time I walk into the grocery store I thank god to be born in AMERICA

>I buy at the farmers market
Sure, like most of the americans would purchase products directly from the producers instead of shopping conveniently via retailers.

A friend of me was in MURRICA for two weaks

He said the foods was fucking garbage.
Everything was fucking sweet. Even bread. He went to the "best BBQ OF THA TOWN" and it was fucking sweet.

WHen something is not sweet, it is deep fried, heavily buttered and FAT or tons of creams.

Cheese felt cheap and plastic. Beer was pisswater. Vegetables tasteless water/chemical products.

Bananas and other fruits were already peeled off packed in plastic shit.

He wondered about the homeless. Tons of homeless, dirty, stink eating on the same table next to some businessmen and such.

Murri shits cant even do pizzas.

Listen Pedro, I'm originally from Italy. I know what good food is you paella eating chorizo nigger. Yeah it's not exactly the food quality of Italy, but it's relatively easy to shop healthy in say Tesco or Asda. Not to mention British butchers and meat is some of the best in Europe with good home grown produce as well. I don't remember what Spain's is like so I can't say.

We have it here aswell but we might be exceptions on this one I guess

We have at least 50 farmers markets every 100 miles.
What the hell are you even talking about, bozo?

>WHen something is not sweet, it is deep fried, heavily buttered and FAT or tons of creams.
I dont get why people say this. This is only the case if you seek it out. There are plenty of fresh veggies or good meat options available. Are your friends just going to Mcdonalds?

>Everything is sent through the air
No wonder why the moors raped you till the very last

Lmao. Are you delusional? We have best freight train system in the world.

>me before reading thread
Nice try, but no one will fall for your obvious kike bait.
>after
You europoors are all wrong, America is best!!! I'm going to spend my time arguing with you instead of pushing the based anti-kike agenda!

the combini's in japan are pretty based not gonna lie

Agreed American shopping is superior

Bigger portions, reasonable prises

>British butchers and meat is some of the best in Europe
*citation needed*
You brits are with meat as the Americans are with chocolate. Shit tier.

T. Butcher

Because Americans can actually afford food in abundance while europeans have to scramble together for scraps. We have shit load of farm lands and other resources while europeans are all crowded together where they are forced to build only brick houses because they can't afford wood.

The US gets massive corn subsidies, as a result farmers grow a massive excess of corn. I've seen some headlines that the corn they grow could literally feed the entire Earth.

There is this tremendous glut of corn, so they use it to make partially hydrogenated corn syrup (sugar replacement), they feed it to cows and pigs, and export tons of it for rock-bottom prices to other countries.

This is why Americans are so fat. The meat is unhealthy as fuck, all the sugary snacks and cereals are injected with this addictive substance. Even the fruit is artificially colored and sweetened much of the time.

Unfortunately if you want to eat a healthy diet in America, it will cost you a premium. It's a lifestyle only really available to the wealthy

Attached: 56% face.jpg (593x439, 78K)

I work at a grocery store in Canada and I don't think the prices are that bad.

That sounds like my experience last week. All I wanted was a simple breakfast of egg and soldiers. Bought the bread and it was sweet. 4g of sugar compared to out 0.4 or so per loaf. Went out for dinner with this group of (relatively large) Americans. For a starter they got a bloomer each. I hadn't even heard of this but it was basically an entire onion chopped to resemble a flower and deep fried with a big side of ranch to dip. That was supposedly an appetizer. Couldn't get over how much sugar they eat. They even put golden syrup on their hashbrowns and sausages. Absolute state of a country.

Oh look, foreigners who've never been to America are talking shit about America. Shocking.

Europe has higher quality goods than the US and Canada, so the prices are higher relative to wages to reflect it. Canada is expensive though because it is a mismanaged quazi-socialist country. We do shit like subsidizing the oil industry even though our oil companies are making profits hand over fist. Most of our CEOs in our companies are americans so they outsmart the dumb 100% Canadian government leaders into giving them government assistance and grants and lowered taxes (company taxes are absurdidly low in Canada, around 27%, while normal Canadian residents have to pay 50% marginal income tax after earning $160,000 or more).
/end rant

Free markets means more products. Which means, more bullshit as pointed out. But also means some more good quality stuff

because the rest of the first world taxes the shit out of most businesses/products to the point where it's not worth selling them or even bother to start producing them
>our socialist system that so many praise depends on taking away 1/3 of your salary to pay for (((free))) healthcare and then 10-20% of the rest of your salary for other social policies/programs
not to mention you pay another 15-21% extra on any purchase as tax
and that is just for regular joes
if you want to sell or make a product even if you are a big company prepare to be taxed out the ass

pic related weighs 440g / 15.5oz
and costs 3,19€ / 3,75$

>goes to America
>hates sugar
>eats bread from a shelf instead of a bakery
>eats American (((cheese)))
>doesn't wash his damn fruits and vegetables before eating
>eats non-fresh fruits and vegetables
>drinks fucking Coors Light, of all the shitty beers
>orders Domishits pizza, of all the shitty pizzas
>waltzs around the poorest, hoodiest part of town like a fucking Mickey and wonders why there's homeless people
>refuses to eat burgers
>refuses to eat deep fried things
>literally the most American foods
>WOW, AMERICA SUCKS DICK AND HAS NO CULTURE OR ANYTHING
Really makes my almonds piss themselves.

Attached: activated-almonds-oh-lord-theres-so-many.jpg (1024x765, 147K)

Denmark please. Are you like those Icelandic niggers? I went there recently and I had to get a mortgage to pay for a load of bread

Absolute Unit

SEETHING

It's literally the race to the bottom, sure it may seem like a good idea at first but, at some point you'll eventually realize the quality is in correlation with the price.
Quid pro quo, user

Enjoy the chinks for us.

Not really, it's just the Aldi formula of almost all private-label products, taken upmarket.

>the corn they grow could literally feed the entire Earth.
Sure, if everyone wants to die of malnutrition with a full belly.
Thank Secretary of Agriculture Earl Butz for that.
>if you want to eat a healthy diet in America, it will cost you a premium
Too true.

Sad, innit.
>Outback
Sad, innit.
>golden syrup
And they pretend it's maple syrup. Sad, innit.

>more products
Stop playing with your food, as my mum always told me.

Attached: 1516538998715.jpg (640x640, 134K)

AND DON'T PRETEND THIS ISN'T LITERALLY WHAT HAPPENED.

Many Americans don't know good brands of foods from shitty ones. As if some Europoor would have any idea what to pick.

And thus another glaring example of the kike agenda is brought to light.

We had Walmart here Germany for a few years.

Germans didn't like it. And that's the people that brought you ALDI and LIDL stores.

Attached: DSC04431.jpg (640x480, 78K)

>oreos
That's within a few percent of the price here.
Are yours GMO? Ours are.

you went to fucking outback stakehouse and expected a great meal?

it's not jews doing this, it's the ag lobby

they lobby the government for subsidies, make huge profits, and use those to lobby the government some more. It's a vicious cycle that feeds on itself endlessly. Unions did the same thing before they were gutted by Reagan. Wall Street does the same thing.

It's basically a form of money laundering. Politicians aren't allowed to spend government money on their own campaigns, but with a third party bagholder it's no problem

Attached: 1493055562254.jpg (720x720, 86K)

>I'm Italian diaspora so that makes me an expert in good food
go dick your asshole somewhere else nigel, bottom line is don't shit on american grocery stores when yours are the same tier
but I guess I would be buttmad too if my "typical british cuisine" line-up includes curry and fish wrapped in newspapers

their was a fly in my can of cambles soup, can i talk to the matra d.

Attached: ok.jpg (300x168, 8K)

He has relatives there living since the 60 you dumb nigger. They showed him their culture, also food culture. or the things they eat at home when they dont go to overpriced (plus tip) restaurants

Food in the States is absolute shit.

>implying jews don't run everything
Next you'll tell me the holocaust was real.

Groceries are cheaper in Europe though, particularly in Germany and the UK. You are probably comparing a Walmart in flyover county to an Auchan in the centre of Paris.

numbeo.com/cost-of-living/compare_countries_result.jsp?country1=United States&country2=United Kingdom

shopping in canada vs shopping in poland (for items that are clazsed as luxury imports in canada):

also apparently in germany when you rent an apartment it doesnt come with stuff like a fridge or oven, and you have to buy it separetly? wtf?
