The section of the Pentagon that was hit was the accounting offices. The offices had information relating to Fort Knox Gold that was stored in the World Trade Center Tower 2. After the disaster, the gold was isolated and stolen by the Bush family. WTC 7 was destroyed because it had cameras that spotted the thermite reactions that brought down the towers.

Except that in reality, none of those records were destroyed, the investigation continued, and eventually uncovered that the amount of improperly documented was closer to $8.5 trillion.

It's why the DOD is now under constant audit.
