I know who you are, the Holy One of God.” 35 But Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be silent, and come out of him!” And when the demon had thrown him down in the midst, he came out of him, having done him no harm. 36 And they were all amazed and said to one another, “What is this word? For with authority and power he commands the unclean spirits, and they come out.”

Glory to Jesus Christ!
Today’s gospel is bookended by the word “authority.” First, the people of Capernaum marvel at Jesus’ teaching because he speaks with authority. Then, after the healing of the possessed man, they marvel that Jesus commands the unclean spirits with authority. What is it about this authority that is so important?
Perhaps part of the answer is that Jesus has an authority that the people of Capernaum, and all people, do not have. After all, if they did, they would have cast out the demon from their neighbour long ago; and if we did, we would do the same for those who are sick, or lost, or in other ways subject to the worst that this fallen world can offer. But in Jesus, for the first time, we encounter someone who has real authority over evil, both in teaching and in action. Since the fall of Adam, humanity has been at a loss to deal with this fallen world – we can’t control our circumstances, we can’t defend ourselves from attack, and we can’t even stop ourselves from engaging in destructive behaviour. But Jesus has an authority that can put a stop to this sin and chaos. When we rely on our own authority, our own effort and works, sooner or later we find ourselves unable to cope with the reign of sin and death: it has authority over us. But when we give Christ permission to exercise his authority the powers of evil are finished. It is through his authority, not our own, that we are saved.

I'm not sure what to think of this movement. The name Jesus is important etymologically because Je-sus means "hail Zeus" who is a pagan deity often associated with Yahweh/Jesus. Jesus is also a unique pronunciation of Isis who is often associated with Mother Mary. There is historical importance to the name Jesus.
I came across a video of a dude who claimed to be saved. I tried finding it but can't. I'll look more after this post. Anyway he claimed yehoshua was the actual name of jesus and he even said it said in the NT where the angel speaks to marys husband and says to call him yehoshua. Well I looked it up and of course it doesnt say yehoshua, at least not in the king james. It says jesus. It said jesus in the original greek NT as well of course (only in greek letters). He had comments disabled but I would like to know what bible he was using and then I could check why they use yehoshua.
