Has There Ever Been a More Entitled Generation Than Millennials?

Has There Ever Been a More Entitled Generation Than Millennials?
Have you tried not living in the Bay Area?
>people who make 200 grand a year can't save money but raising the minimum wage to 15 dollars WILL fix all of our problems
can they just secede already
If I lived there and made that money I’d live in a van.
Imagine being able to save ALL that money on housing.
FPBP. Silicon valley is a well-oiled sperg trap that baits with big salaries and kills with big living expenses.
Should be "are" not "were". This daft roastie is probably as sloppy with her code as she is with her grammar.
You'd get arrested for breaking some commiefornian law im sure
you can easily make 10k a month driving for Uber if you're hustling and work 30 days straight. Fucking millennials don't know how easy they have it. You literally don't have to be a wagecuck anymore.
200k a year job
those poor people
I've always found this weird, I only make £20k and pay rent and bills, and I still save money every month. I live in the South which is generally a higher cost of living than the North.
A Google engineer did it with a box truck.
But then they would be infecting somewhere else with their presence. Lets hope they stay and demand more gibs from California, until that place is destroyed.
Lol10k a month wtf u smoking salvia
They're out of a job but they're willing to move, even cross-country, with that job experience?
Who do they think they are, they should just give up and stay home getting high off opioids, they're just pathetic libshits how dare they think they're better than us
Yeah but millennials are lazy fucks.
dude, if you wanna be real lazy just park at the airport. It's people pouring out of their needing an Uber.
Is that yours?
They asked him to leave because the parking lot wasn't zoned for housing. People do live in RVs parked on the street though.
Sperg reporting in, make over $100k in a STEM job but a single family home near where I work costs $2.5 million. I'm in my early 30s. I fucked up somewhere (never made the jump to a revenue generator job).
Where should I move?
> Must be hiring engineers
> Must have land where I can buy a house on an engineer's salary
> Must not be pozzed
Yes I'm white (23andme says 40% English, 80% NW Euro, 99% Euro).
More importantly, what is the meaning of life when I'm too old and dumb to do anything significant?
that's what most of them do
it's pretty pathetic 2bh
why would anyone want to live in commiefornia
They have a huge housing problem, way worse than what you got in London or we got in Helsinki. That state is more interested in building bourgeous mansions nobody buys or lives in instead of cheap apartment complexes, so rents are ridiculously high.
I hear japan has it good for english engineers
also my dad has been an engineer for like 20 years in the houston/baytown area and makes like ~120k
So many people live fine in Bay area making less than that. If you live in San Jose or in the East Bay you're an idiot. It's called commuting.
You could move here but learning the language is pretty much mandatory.
It's also the cost of land. In a very small area you have everybody from the behemoth of industries of Entertainment and Tech trying to squat.
Entertainment moved there because LA is a constant 75F sunny 24/7/265 and it was as far away as they could get from the NYC film industry, so they clogged up LA.
Why the fuck someone would start the Tech industry there is beyond me though.
Chinks are using San Fran as another hotspot to store cash in housing yeah? Pretty much making housing cost double from already huge bubble highs.
Severe treason, something these leftist scum were very much in favour of. Because 'we wouldn't have afforded those expensive houses anyway', yeah, ripple effect you cretinous maggots.
Tech industry in Austin is growing pretty fast, isn't it? I know you said "not pozzed" but it's the best I can think of in the US, and you would certainly be preferable over most commiefornia transplants, which I hear are numerous.
I can’t fucking stand millennials. I used to design ads for a newspaper and as co-workers they were utter pieces of shit- lazy, whiney, entitled, humorless and sullen. If I had to come in after them for a pickup ad I’d usually open the file and sit there apalled for a few seconds due to the “work” they had left behind.
Later I moved into sales at that location, then left for another job offer. And guess what, that new batch of millennials was even worse because they would actively try to get you fired if you disagreed with them about font sizes (“mansplaining”).
how much would you have to spend on car insurance and maintenance and gas?
Maybe the instant gratification of the internet ruined their offline expectations? Also a constant barrage of media (((tricks))) have literally brainwashed a good portion of the population. They mapped out human psychosis in the 60's and have since weaponized it against common decency.
>votes for a bunch of commies
>can't afford to live
So tiresome
Tons of people live in old RVs here, I guess if you move them often enough the cops can't do anything.
Good point. If there was a common thread between the two groups at separate job sites it was (((victimization))). They were perpetual victims. I’ve met happier janitors.
A lot of people commute from the Sacramento valley to bay area for work. Living in a big city and making good money while resume building is something you do when you are young and single. Basically every married engineer I know only commutes to SF like twice a week for team meetings. The rest of their work is done remotely.
Even accounting for the increase in living expenses, your take home is far higher working in SF than say Sacramento, where the median salary for an Engineer is something like $65k. Compare that to SF, where it's like $90k+ and living expenses are only slightly more.
I'm Millennial myself and I'm tired of them being offended by everything. I'm so used to people being outraged by me or saying a stupid buzzword that I don't care who I offend.
>tfw 28yo boomer
>tfw never experienced any of the mentioned cuck shit at my workplace or anywhere
I guess we're still lagging behind in this regard. Hopefully we'll continue to do so.
Laziness is the mother of invention.
nice
*Sips* yeah good thing we have it good
Sup sean?
Pittsburgh.
What the fuck do these people spend there money on? Making just under 90k and living in relative comfort by my self in a flat. My sisters bf who almost makes double what I do is always bitching about how he will have to buy and live out of a van. I really don't get it.
what does rent run an hour east of san francisco?
Austin gets ~100 Californians a day
> No gun licenses for self defense purposes
I have mostly Finnish nose and eye shape but I love MUH FREEDOM too much to even consider locations outside the USA
Bottom line is, the problem isn't a location. The problem is me.
I wish nothing but blessings on you. No bullshit.
> Has CMU
> 63% White
Hmmmm....
In the bay area I get it but don't fucking live there is the simple answer, that place is retarded expensive which is why it is full of indians stacked in apartments like fucking lincoln logs.
The funniest part is most of them could do their jobs remotely and live like email.
that would require PHD levels of intelligence.
Baby Boomers are still ahead
>oy vey you kids can't pay your rent?
>you need to hurry up and buy my million dollar house so I can retire to cancun!
Is the Bay Area Democrat controlled?
Hi Sean. Keep in mind that using your own vehicle for work is a lot more expensive than just buying gas.
TFW live in Bay Area
TFW no PhD
b...but moving is failure; giving up on the American Dream
Telltale Games was bound to collapse. They did too much with that they had, and the quality of their products and their sales went down.
>Millennials
Another Kremlin disinformation thread
FUCK OFF PROPAGANDA PAVEL!
How much is rent? Searching around it looked like you can get stuff for 5k/mo, which is 60k a year. I'm surprised the Bay Area socialists have a problem with this, poor people pay a larger % of their check on rent than that.
fucking this.
Literally nobody sane would ever want to live there.
>$2k a month for a cardboard box in the living room of a shitty one bedroom apartment.
>junkies lying in shit on the street
>annoying faggots and trannies everywhere
Why the fuck do tech companies go there? You can find talent anywhere especially tech. telecommute and HQ in the midwest for fucks sake.
keep in mind when time comes to file taxes you will be filing a 1099 which depending on your state might fuck you over with federal state and city taxes
It's called living within your means. It's an ancient concept not practiced or taught in school anymore. Sad.
The "retraining" they're offering those coal miners is mostly stuffing them into retail or elder care. Much lower salaries and working conditions that are physically safer but actually more stressful.
I'm a 30 year old millenial who makes $18,000 a year and never could get any higher no matter what I tried.
And I'm considering getting a job at Walmart now because they start at $12 an hour and that's the same I make now but with less work and boss harassment
bruh you can make more than that working a basic ass job full time.
I never thought it would happen but I'll probably be a 70 year old working at Walmart and I have no idea how it happened. I was just 20 yesterday.
The tech industry started out there because it piggybacked off of all the post-WWII aerospace industries that located there due to costs, Pacific access, and generally favorable weather.
Get into the trades brah, even as an apprentice you'd be making double that
It is completely controlled by apeshit Dems. To give you an idea, it's Dianne Feinstein's home base and they're talking about turfing her out because she's not liberal enough.
Not to mention the Social Security pay-ins you have to do as a contractor.
>promotions 390$
>a thousand bucks for dragging one of your other flunkie friends into this shithole of a job.
KYS for real
While she is being a whiny bitch the people that got fucked over that incident had no chance, they basically got hired and even brought over weeks before the company decided to shut down
Can anybody give me a quick rundown on why this happened?
I remember them doing a lot of popular games a couple of years back, played a couple of them myself
Did the quality drop or were they just being retarded with their money?
>I hear japan has it good for english engineers
Haven't heard about this. Don't you have to work double shifts erry day in Japan?
don't forget to pay your taxes... IRS will DESTROY U
A lack of good games. Just google “telltale games list” and see they mostly make videogames based on movies or tv shows. But they do work on 7 days to die. Thats probably their most popular game. Theyre just burning money going all out on these games that a small audience plays.
>what are they going to do
>move back in with mom and dad
>begin playing fortnite
>eventually gateway to Jow Forums
>get blackpilled
>nose it and call it a night
Bad management in the company, they bought a shitton of licenses and basically none of it payed off and other retarded shit like hiring more people than they could handle.
They basically went fucking crazy when the TWD game succeeded and bit way more than they could chew.
Yes that's fucked to up, get hired and fired in the same week. That ((())) level type shit.
>generally favorable weather.
I understand that I would save a shitload of taxes if I move out, but I just can't make myself leave SoCal weather.
They got lucky with Walking Dead and then instantly expanded to 300+ employees. It turned out the only profitable thing they had made since then was the minecraft game despite slapping 2-3 games together per year for a while.
Being game journalist's darling, and receiving widespread acclaim didn't mean much when nobody was actually buying the games.
Many such cases!
telltale games were crap gameplaywise and without good gameplay its just a point and click storybook.
>you can easily make 10k a month driving for Uber
>implying uber drivers make 28/hr working 12 hr shifts
>implying anyone other than chink drones and consuelas can accomplish working 30 12-hour days consecutively
Even then, you aren't making 10k, gas and maintenance will eat up a lot of that money.
The truth is that kids who were born between 1980 and forward are inherently lazy and entitled.
Niggers.
>referral reward is 50% of the paycheck
you are using a rented vehicle also, right?
Probably, but now look at the breakdown for the Uber earnings
>Rides: 1119
>Promotions: 390
>Referrals: 1000
That's not a normal week for anybody, and that's before taxes, ssi, ride-share insurance, gas, cleaning, and cost of ownership for running his car over a thousand miles a week.
>Sean Marsland
You fucked up.
It's not genetic though, it's propaganda telling them don't worry (((government))) will save you. 200k a year and your pay check to pay check, that your own fault, in fact it's highly entitled to piss away 200k and complain on a world wide public square such as Twitter and expect people to feel sorry for you, the majority of whom don't make 10% of 200k.
>Studied at San Diego State University
Y-you did graduate, right?
>mutt
Figures
>lol just eat cake XD
If their job is there then they have to live there.
>$200k a year wow big numbers!
Read a connecticut yankee in king arthur's court
If you don't start making savings at all by the time you're 18 you're a lost cause retard. I started saving up when all I had was a shitty part time job
LoL SDSU gets a bad rap.
>saving fiat currency
>calls others retards
Youre supposed to be investing that in actual wealth so you dont get fucked over by inflation or civilization colapsing.
fpbp
>If their job is there then they have to live there
>What are busses
>What is carpooling
>What are trains
>What is public transportation at all
Costs me like £80 for a monthly any-bus ticket that I use to get into town from where I live. But nah got to live that Le Cali Lifestyle xD oh no where did all my money go :'(
>Implying I don't
Buy silver and gold from Royal mint and sometimes platnium. I don't trust the banks enough
To be fair, why should a college educated software dev working 40 hours a week be forced to live paycheck to paycheck? Previous generations didn't face the same barriers to housing and education that young people do now. Boomers basically sucked the wealth out of the post war generation and left it to the next generation to pick up the pieces.
