It seems that knowledge of the events right now happening in Finland haven't spread yet, so here's what is happening.
Friday police/military raided multiple buildings across the islands at near city of Turku. Multiple military and border patrol vessels are seen at the area. About ~100 heavily armed police and military personal have been reported to seen in the area All roads are still closed to these islands There is no fly zone over these island size of 100km x 50km
Latest, report was that multiple persons has been arrested. They have found under water data cables, bunkers, warehouses, shores has been dredged deeper and multiple huge piers has been build, all illegally.
Also the raided company has bought tons of land in the Turku Archipelago, has bought several decommissioned Finnish navy patrol boats (which they haven't repainted, so they look like the real Finnish navy boats) and has never turned a profit.
The raided company's ownership is all Russian except for one person who is Vietnamese. The rumour has it that the company is a front for Russian espionage. The official reason for the raid was that the company has been laundering several million euros but since when is national bureau of investigation, border patrol and defense forces launching a co-op of over 100 ground personnel because of a money laundering case? Security intelligence service stated that they have been investigating the case for over 6 months.
The neighbors around one of the company's main properties have been reporting suspicious activities. For example fence and warning signs in multiple languages around the property telling to stay away. If you go too close, men are coming out speaking bad Finnish with a Russian accent telling them to go away. National broadcasting service tried to film the property with a drone earlier this year in the winter. The drone was shot down. When the reporters went to fetch the drone the drone's camera was no longer there. They bought an old Finnish navy boat from a third party company called Håkans-Alfons, who bought it from the Finnish Defense Forces. For some reason they put plywood the cover all the boat's windows so no one could see inside.
This for sure is not a simple money laundering case.
Michael Bailey
Should have painted NATO insignia on those
Levi Rogers
> For example fence and warning signs in multiple languages around the property telling to stay away.
100% this is some oligarch faggot. They do same here. With HUGE fences like 4 or 5 meters tall. And autistic guards.
Landon Adams
>The drone was shot down. When the reporters went to fetch the drone the drone's camera was no longer there Vodka isn't cheap, must be business, lel
>Shooting a drone over private territory is (?) Legal in Suomi, right?
Jordan Brooks
any sick photos by chance?
Ethan Moore
>company has no real money flow >has bought lots of land from the archipelago >has built tons of infrastructure useful for military use >company barely does business >somehow has money to buy land, boats and stuff Sure. Its just some oligarch
You could probably get in trouble for it if you're close enough to other people. Also that drone is still considered private property
"Preliminary investigation of the case has led to suspicions of aggravated money laundering and aggravated tax fraud, among other things. Ownership of the limited company in question has been traced to another EU country, and people from several countries have been questioned," says NBI inspector Markku Ranta-aho."
You don't understand. They make money only here. Mostly because Poo tin.
But they want to live at normal conditions. With laws and normal medicine.
All infrastructure i read about this situation is very cheap for man with billions of dollars.
This is how russian oligarchs act here. Exactly typical way. Don't care about laws and other.
I can make a bet about this. This is 100% oligarch.
John Russell
If this a Russian operation why are the owners being reported as being located in another EU country?
Tyler Martin
I know, right? And not a single phrase like "spy activity", "underwater data cables", "Russian influence" and such. At least now we know that tax fraud is a really big deal in Finland.
Christopher Perry
this

Total bullshit and snoozefest. Only people who give a fuck are armchair generals of ylilauta and others in ambulatory care who have gone completely apeshit and come up with totally idiotic theories.
Most absurd is bitching about companies not making profit when the losses are under a million. Pocket change for oligarchs.
I'd bet this is about money laundering in Danske. Or something as stupid as not paying VAT for construction. Not paying taxes is the most offensive crime in Funland. Unless you are part of the (((1%))).
Julian Walker
Bitches have helicopters.
Joseph Wright
The Defence Forces were there just for supplies/food and transport. The operation took place in an archipelago, so they had to get boats/helicopters from the Border Guard. Still suspicious though
>t: Pjotr
Wyatt Bennett
its le habbening!
Matthew Smith
Bitches love assault helicopters, that's the reason how I chose my gender
I have no idea. Maybe it's because the ownership has been changing constantly. Currently there is the Vietnamese woman and someone named Mauro Barbi. I have no idea who the Barbi is or where he comes from. The Vietnamese woman on the other hand is the wife of an interesting person. That person is Jean Mikael Öhman. Öhman used to in a Swedish speaking university called Åbo Akademi. The Vietnamese woman was studying there in 2004-2006. That's when he probably Öhman. Öhman quit his job in 2005. Öhman also used to work as the mayor of a municipality called Korppoo in 2003-2005. A funny coincidence since the mayor of Korppoo's neighbor town called Parainen was Folke Öhman in 2002-2015. Korppoo was merged with Parainen in 2009. Coincidence? I don't know. Then there is a guy called Pavel Melnikov who seems to be one of the person's who founded the company Airiston Helmi about 10 years ago. He owns many companies including one in Austria so maybe that's the EU connection. I honestly don't know.
Cameron Baker
in case of tax fraud, you'd get a few officers behind your door asking you to come with them for some questioning, that would be after a letter from the tax office.
Hudson Morris
LoL. Relax, we can't afford any more annexations. We're still drawning from 2014.
Hunter Powell
Are we gonna carry their bags and blow them? Oh wait, they're not brown.
It's pretty fucking clumsy for an FSB/GRU operation. It's not simple, but those traitorous oligarchs do similar shit in Russia.
Nathaniel Wilson
But if we let's say Switzerland votes to be a part of Russia we would capture lot's of gold.
Ayden Wilson
It may be a Russian private group of interest/mafia/money laundering/former FSB doing intelligence/spying activities for private sector. The possibilities are endless.
Joseph Kelly
Yeah, it's funny how always those countries decide to "vote" to be part of Russia :D
First green unmarked soldiers appear in Crimea and next they vote to be part of Russia :D
Did you guys prepare your next vote for Finland at those islands?
Jordan Russell
In Crimea live more than 1.5 millions of Russians. Of course they voted for that. But it still was the annexation.
Levi King
>believes that Russia will invade, all while it would be a political suicide for the ruling class and while USSR with the most powerful army on the continent let Finland exist and have a market economy being this retarded
Easton Lee
True.
Daniel Brooks
based russia
Austin Carter
Mulder and Scully are already on the scene, Krycek was spotted earlier.
See, it would be nice to move our borders a bit more away from the centre before ww3 so we wouldn't have to care about land attack from Scandinavian peninsula. But you guys are nothing but swamps and forest. You don't have our huge navy base (like Sevastopol in Crimea), you aren't our pass to some seas (we already have access to Baltic sea and Athlantic ocean via it). There are no russo-europeans gas or oil pipes going over your clay. Why the heck would anybody want you? Just sit there and tell your kids tales about MUH EBIL RUSKIES (who got away as soon as they took from you half the Karjala so you won't give the krauts comfy positions to shell Saint-Petersburg). Like puny baltic states. American generals at least do that to get funding, that I can understand.
Nathan Thomas
>First green unmarked soldiers appear in Crimea and next they vote to be part of Russia :D You do realize that Crimea was the HQto USSR's Black Sea Fleet and that Russia was leasing the bases up until 2014 and was allowed to have up to 25000 soldiers there? The green men were already there legally. You sound like some ignorant, brainwashed Finish kid. Go back to plebbit or get some knowledge about the topics before making comments.
Ian King
>Not trying to claim Saami Woodlands of Norway and Sweden
Levi Reed
Norsk are bros, we'll split Sweden with them. Danes can get some token holdings too I guess.
Robert Sanchez
We have more reasons to annex Baikonur (that's not how it really is called but you guys know it under this name) from Kazakhstan - it's a huge region with russian-build cities, factories, space ports, launching facities, nuke bases, test sites and so on. We waste billions renting it since early 90s. I can't imagine why it wasn't declared a part of Russia in the moment of USSR collapse.
>some thieving oligarchs from Russia come to spend their blood money in Finland >deepen the shores so that they could park their ocean-going billion-dollar yachts >it almost looks like Finland is getting invaded >poor Finns get all excited >we're being invaded guys >the fucking Russians again >mobilize the mighty Finnish military >impose a no-fly zone >park a couple destroyers nearby >we large scale military operation nao Laughable. Thank you for nailing those rich faggots though. You should imprison them in Finland too, and never hand them over to Russia, since they'll just weasel their way out of jail here.
Nathan Ortiz
>Baikonur (that's not how it really is called but you guys know it under this name) Do you still call Volgograd Stalingrad too?
Jaxon Morris
>Implying Ukraine existed as a Cossack state before Austro-German propaganda Alright.
Charles Reyes
Fuck off retarded serb. How the fuck Russian tsars could gib us clay, if they liquidated Sich in 1775?
It existed as a lawless wasteland Kinda like Kosovo today
Ryan Jackson
No, we were incorporated in Russia only after Mazepa's betrayal
Angel Rodriguez
Educate yourself, son. Or you will soil yourself even in front of average IQ imageboard dwellers. It's not about renaming, the case here was using some remote city name to feed newspapers and avoid giving enemys real location. They got it later via satellite photos anyway but at least they had to work for that.
Noah Collins
Baikonur wasn't your only Kosmodrome
Jason Perry
True. We even built Vostochniy as flipping the bird to Kazakhstan (they had to lower rent after that) and there are more. Still this facility is the biggest and closest to equator. You, pals, like to launch stuff from Florida too, not from NY or Alaska.
Christian Campbell
If it was Russia, then they would've called the suspect immediately, just like in Salisbury. On the other hand money laundering is a pretty big deal due to the economic damage. You get more jail time for piracy than for raping children.
Jaxon Cooper
This is one of the company's islands. Looks super comfy.
Why do Fins still think they can take on Russia because of some practically unknown war 80 years ago? Russians could crush Finland in a month or less probably
Logan Sullivan
Very few here believe that. Its just banter.
Jacob Hall
>khan overlay
Kek
Interesting story, thanks finnbro
Liam Wilson
Cause the Finns know their land and in general iron minded people compared to other ethnic groups.
We generally don't believe we could actually win a 1v1 war against them but we believe in fighting long enough and making the casualties too painful for Russia. Something like 70% of males here do military service here and most people view it as a positive thing and believe in Finnish superiority over Russia. Most people greatly dislike Russia. I don't mean disliking Russians as individuals but disliking the state of Russia and before that Soviet Union. We see it as kind of a shit hole and two thirds to third world nation. Our entire Defense forces are based on countering Russian military attack and making it simply cost too much for them to attack. Any 1v1 war scenario is not realistic as there really is no scenario where Russia attacks Finland without being in war with other countries. Russia must defend other borders, such as those with Ukraine, EU, China and the pacific ocean. They can't really commit much forces to the Finnish border. On the other hand we can readily commit over 200k manpower to the border and if the situation calls for the worst case scenario, the backup reserve included it's a million men.
John Flores
Well hey if its some major drug gang or something, its still kinda neat and newsworthy.
Anthony Edwards
Lol and at the same time we’re bending over for west and EU. But at least we’re ”showing” Russia.
Robert Hill
Its basically a guerrilla policy nowadays, stall and bog down the conflict so bad that it becomes undesirable for Russia. There is no illusion that we could actually win a full scale war against them.
Gavin Thomas
>Winland couldn't singlehandedly-destroy Russia in a week TOP KEK TATAR PIG SHIT!!! Oh believe you me, us Finns are ITCHING for a war with RUSSIA. We will fucking ANNIHILATE your dirty country. There wouldn't be a square meter of Russian soil that has running water, electricity, or petrol that isn't on fire, once our airforce and navy is done bombarding your defenseless country. Then, our army boys (we'd send the swedes and other mongrel races first) would swoop in, raping your women, and killing EVERY Russian pig shit they see. When Finland's done with you, we will have committed acts of genocide. Of course no one is gonna do shit about it
Camden Baker
Forests will not help as much as they did in 30s. That would be a problem for our guerrilla too. At least we have roads no NATO vehicles can drive on.
No that's not how Finland operates. They use the money laundering as an excuse to take the properties away and don't raise a fuss about Russia to keep our relations cordial. This way Russia doesn't have to embarass itself again like in Salisbury case by coming up shitty excuses and the threat their activity posed is dealt with
Caleb Baker
It used to be a social taboo to talk ill of the Soviet Union, and a part of it has stuck. Thus we have the opposite problem. If it wasn't connected to Russia, the police would be pretty forthcoming about this.
Blake Reyes
But are Finns white?
Nicholas Ortiz
Russia is run by oligarchs/Old KGB agents. Thing what I wonder about Ruskies is why they waited so long to investigate Hermitage Capital, when biggest money laundering happened in 1998 (when Edmond Safra was running company).
Gavin Evans
>inb4 turns out it was swedish muslims
Xavier Davis
Crimea/East Ukraine has majority of Russians. Of course if you follow only news from west, they won't tell you but checking history would reveal how things really are.
Michael Hernandez
>it has a majority of X people >therefore it belongs to X country I'm guessing Kaliningrad and half of Latvia is also rightful russian clay then
Samuel Ross
I'm learning Ukrainian ATM and plan on moving to the country by summer 2019. Do you have any advice? How well can I by if I speak only primitive Ukrainian?
Connor Sanchez
Russian spies get what they deserve. Finally finnish police does something good.
Put green men in there and have "vote", of course it would happen. And of course they are in Russians side! Legislation of such act is completely different.
Lastly, why you would like to even keep Ruskie infested land? As Ukraine I would deport all Russians in east Ukraine and let them have that land just like Terrorist buses in Syria.
Ryan Hernandez
>Defeats Russia with a manlet sniper and Pertavin >Capital falls to a single Estonian Mushroom Seller
What did Finland mean by this? And where is Lawyer?
