After 9/11 happened USA attacked Iraq. Because of the war a few thousands of US men died in a horrible dry desert and one million of Iraqi civilians died. Death toll of 911 was around 3k.
It's stupid to start wars over terrorism.

While I agree with you that we were in the right, it wouldn't have been right to have executed Hirohito, nor would it have been right to execute Hitler either once the war ended. Once an enemy surrenders, it's both amoral, and foolish to not allow them to keep their dignity. In fact, I think in many ways we made a massive mistake allowing for the world to so harshly condemn Germany. It left their people broken, and susceptible to the kind of manipulations they're suffering from now.
