Because some people can't afford to pay their bills AND eat. Those same people might have multiple children they have to support. Them receiving some of your wages would help greatly in ways you don't even know. Imagine being a single mother with 6 or 7 children AND having to work 40+ hours a week only to be constantly struggling with bills and rent each month. You are never able to pursue your dreams and aspirations, never able to have a monent to enjoy life. This in turn creates frustration which often get taken out on the children which causes them to repeat the cycle due to the parent neglecting and abusing them. You can stop all of this. A portion of your wages being garnished is worth imporvished people getting a second chance at life. Have some understanding and common decency.
